The Week in Review
Angry Email Underwear
Also featuring list looting & getting caught with my pants down… actually off
Welcome to my first “Jeff’s Content Column Week in Review” where you can catch the Content Columns from the last week.
We all get busy, and it’s so easy to miss things…
Like many of you, there are many things I’m interested in, and like to write about…
One of the basic principles of the internet is that you pick a niche, stay in your lane, and go deep.
While there’s wisdom in that, it’s nice to have found a place like Medium and publications like Illumination where you can create content on more than one area of interest.
In this way we can help you catch up and get the tips you might have missed during the week.
So let’s get started:
“Hello Anger My Old Friend…”
Borrowing loosely from Simon & Garfunkel, many more people struggle with anger than you might imagine.
Some people are hooked on, or addicted to, the rush of anger. Those folks usually end up alone.
Those who learn how to master their anger still get angry, but they’ve learned how to make anger work for them instead of against them.
Let’s check out the tips on mastering anger:
“Work once: get paid, get paid, get paid, and get paid some more!”
One of the first things I learned from my first online mentor Tom Antion was adopting the work model of “work once: get paid, get paid, get paid, and get paid some more!”
It changed my life…
Here’s an article about when I was a guest on Tom’s 5ht podcast episode, talking about the power of “Consistent Content Creation”
Let’s check it out:
“But I’m Not Wearing Any Pants!”
The big take-away from this story is how to turn the crazy events of life into profitable content.
I’d also like to hear about your most embarrassing moment as a parent, so far, too.
Here’s the story:
“Do you loot or do you serve your community?”
This is a crucial piece for creating life long customers and a lifetime business. Part mindset and part heart-set, it’s more than a bit counter-intuitive.
Because you wind up with a bigger audience and a bigger bank account this way.
It’s also a great content creation template you can use over and over again.
Take a look:
“Email is Dead! Again…”
The only people who tell you email is dead are the ones trying to sell you their things that’s supposedly better than email.
And have you ever noticed they are emailing you to tell you about their new thing ‘cuz email is dead?
The Email PS gets your email clicked on. Here’s 7 ways to make that happen.
I wonder which one you’ll use first:
“The Grammar Police are Mad”
Every time I say “content is a verb” the grammar police get upset.
It’s OK though, it just gets my content and my member’s content more attention :-)
It’s all about turning your words into your profit.
Let’s see if you agree:
“Open Up, Please!”
It won’t matter how good your Email or your Email PS is if your email does not get opened.
It’s the Email Subject Line that stops the scroll and gets your email opened.
Most Email Subject Lines are boring. So don’t be boring!
So then what should you do? Here are 7 suggestions that get prospects to “open up.”
Let’s see which one you’ll use in your next email:
And now please allow me to introduce myself (just in case we haven’t virtually met before):
