Angels On My Path

Day 100: You are never alone on your journey

“Time to wake up.” “Let’s go get doughnuts,” I said to my son in the dark early this morning. It wasn’t even 6:00 am, and we were ready to roll. Yesterday we delighted in coming up with a plan. I told my son that today would be the last day of my 100-day spiritual journey. We mused about how we hadn’t gone to the local doughnut shop in quite some time. Grinning, we agreed that we’d sneak out early in the morning before my husband woke up. My son casually asked what his favorite doughnuts were last night, so we were ready!

It was so much fun to arrive at the shop just about five minutes after it opened. There were already people there! It’s a cute little place run by a husband and wife team. Pure joy was felt as we made our selections and headed home. We tiptoed in to wake up my husband with the box of doughnuts. He was so surprised!

When I started down this path 100 days ago, I was a different person. At the beginning of this journey, I was seeking my true self, and I have found her. I now take on each day with a positive-spirit, one step at a time. I have come to love the mystery of life, not worrying about the future. All I need is already here, right now.

When you go on a journey, you are never alone on your path. Angels are always there to accompany you. They pick you up when you have fallen. These beautiful souls are there for you to guide you through the dark days. Their love for you never ends. I have found many angels upon my path in the past 100 days. I want to introduce each one of them to you.

Amy Marley, a beautiful poet, and writer is an angel like no other. She walks right alongside me, and we are learning together. I thank her for always being here with her golden words. I truly feel her presence with me.

Rasheed Hooda, an amazing storyteller is an angel on a journey just like mine. He walked Route 66 a few years ago, and I love hearing his stories of trust in the divine all along the way. I thank him for his support and wisdom.

Gurpreet Dhariwal, a simply divine poet, is such a loving angel. She is a strong, beautiful and caring woman who is always there shining her light. I thank her for her friendship and kind words every day.

Bob Jasper, an amazing poet and writer, is such a wise angel. I love how he has shared his life stories with me and added years of wisdom to my path. I appreciate and love his positive thinking and spirit. I thank him for being here daily.

Charlotte Zobeir Ali, is an outstanding and stunning poet and writer who now has her own beautiful publication: La Bibliotheque. She is such a kindred soul and she has been with me all along this journey. I thank her for her encouragement and joy.

Tony Young, Jr., is a masterful poet and I enjoy reading his work about love and social justice in this world. He always has a kind word and encouragement. I thank him for his positivity and light.

Michele Thill is a fantastic writer and wellness coach. I love her focus on love in this world and the way she helps us become healthier through her work. I thank her for her friendship and kindness on this path.

Suntonu Bhadra is an accomplished poet who started a lovely publication called Paper Poetry. I love how he has combined his love of writing and drawing on paper to create this platform for others. I thank him for his leadership and friendship.
