Dara and Bruno halt and look back.

You stand perfectly still, unable to move or utter a single word. Dara glares at you disparagingly. Bruno’s lips move and eyebrows raise in expectation of some kind of answer.

You hear nothing and say nothing, standing unblinking as Dara’s annoyance quickly becomes concern, then defeat. Her voice is inaudible, but her lips are clear as she takes Bruno by the arm and whispers in his ear.

“The curse…”

It’s the last thing you see before your body does an involuntary about-face, and you begin the long march back to the cave.
