An Odd Man in my Train Car
He was impeccably dressed…
This drabble (100-word story) is a response to Making Your Characters Squirm! (Idea 5), written by JF Danskin at The Fiction Writer’s Den.
I’d been looking forward to this cross-country trip for years, and I finally had the time to indulge myself.
I walked into the train compartment and found a beautiful seat right by a window.
But I instantly noticed a man across the aisle behaving strangely.
He was dressed in a classic three piece suit. And he was well groomed for a man who was… picking his nose.
I couldn’t believe it, What kind of person picks their nose in public? Especially someone so impeccably dressed…
And then… he wiped whatever he had dug out onto the seat in front of him.
This 9th drabble is written as part of the “100 Story Challenge” by @Zane Dickens.
