“Or a… loophole, at least.”
Dara ponders for a moment.
“Maybe a temporary death will be enough to break the spell.”
She nods eastward. “There’s a river nearby. You could drown yourself, then I’ll try to bring you back.” Dara pats your shoulder reassuringly. “I’ve done it before.”
“Aye. I’ve done it too, but it ain’t pleasant,” the man says, after introducing himself as Bruno. “How do we know this curse is real?” He shrugs skeptically. “Could be a load of hogwash.”
“It’s real.” Dara says “And the only way to break the curse is to kill or be killed.”
