Microfiction celebration
Air Force Grandma Ready For Take Off
A short (and weird) celebration of my followers

I am a Boeing 747 with a cruise speed of Mach 1.42 and a top speed of Mach 4.21 when supercharged with top-secret hot cocoa fuel. High in the sky, you can barely see me because of the (also) top-secret reflective materials used to protect me and my crew. As they always say, party hard on the ground, but stay mysterious in the sky. It’s one of those sayings that don’t make sense to anyone else but the private circle who created them.
When people watch me landing, they often think I have scary eyebrows¹, but these are only memories of the cocoa slurping I indulged in midflight. Fun technical fact about me, it takes me less than half a minute to refuel in hot cocoa. As my pilot often says, a lot can happen in 30 seconds². He’s right. I once saw the bride of Frankenstein cheating on him in³ half that time.
I’m not short, but I’m certainly weird. As far as I know, only one other plane has written her memoir, and she’s my twin sister. People can’t tell us apart. But it doesn’t matter because, for these civilians, we only exist when our owner is on board.
Then, they call me Air Force Grandma.
Grandma Smillew recently reached the 747 followers milestone and is quite proud of her achievement. She’s drinking hot cocoa to celebrate. What about serving yourself your favorite drink and joining her?
Where do you want to fly next?
¹ Scary Eyebrows Country?
² 30-second-land?
³ or would you rather pay a visit to Frankenstein’s bride?
Grandma Smillew loves her afternoon cup of cocoa, Scrabble, and her grandson, Smillew Rahcuef. She’s also a pink belt in social media and marketing strategies. If you want to make her happy, follow her on Medium and write for one of her publications: All About Medium and Grandma Power.
