Aging Never Stops

How life passes you by when you are not attentive.

The young get busy exploring life assuming parents will always be there same age as today, and yesterday enjoying the comfort of life blinders don’t let them see the aging parents only sees aging self, partaking of each moment years passing, no thought of parents’ mortality then one day, the child looks up and sees the lines in the face, moving slower the eyes light has deemed and the spirit is different yesterday’s energy no longer visible years gone unnoticed that can’t be gotten back trying to make up for lost time is impossible sometimes regret set in as the reality slaps no time like the present to see aging hits all as the child ages, so does the parents seeing this reality gives meaning to life how to appreciate every day one’s aging life and the parents’ aging life down the road, no regrets or surprise because you saw not only your mortality but your parents. and took note walking with them each step of the way aging together, with grace and love.
