A Walk in the Park in A FEW WORDS.
Fridays are natural down-times for the week.
Sometimes we are pumped to work more.
At times, we need a recharge.
Yesterday, I needed a recharge.
So, I headed to a beach park.

I am an Urbanlite. By that I mean I live in a concrete jungle. I am surrounded by the hallmarks of human civilisation such as high-rise buildings as well as never-ending email and social media notifications.
It is nice not having to worry about getting drenched when it is raining and having to get to the safari for hunt when the tribe runs out of food.
Shutting the windows and making a trip to the groceries under a sheltered walkway would do the trick.
While I marvel at the brilliance of the Mankind since our ancestors decided to venture out of Africa — I often revisited our birth roots.
Nature.
Nature is beautiful.
A visit to the beach park on Friday evening reminds me of the achievement from the past working week. A slower pace brings focus to the natural greenery that Mother Nature has to offer.
Not forgetting the wildlife appearing along our path as we rush to capture their images with our smartphones.

The sounds of waves slapping on the beach is rhythmic and therapeutic.
It calms the jitters of looming deadlines.
Nature’s beauty presents a form of delicate balance between serenity and simplicity. The line separating the oceans and the heavens shows the possibility that Gods and Humans could finally meet at the imaginary faraway edge where the two Worlds collide.

Maybe.
The hustles and bustles of modern life can be replaced by an ecosystem of calmness. Fishermen by the side of the water-parks, families in their picnic mats and boatmen ferrying people around from jetty to jetty aren’t rushing and brushing through people.
They stay static to connect with themselves and those around them.
It is beautiful to watch.
They are just days where taking time away to plug into nature does wonders to the mind.
It clears the mental fog and has the effect of providing an emotional uplift in a way that the concrete jungle could never do.
How often do we immense ourselves in the beauty of Mother Nature?
