You’re stunned at Dara’s tidings concerning your family… but feel committed to the current task.

You step towards Dara, siezing her arm. “Please — I beg of you. Go, and find out more about my people and the other villagers. Free them if you can! I am going after the cruel wizard Piquantia who set events in motion.”

Dara gives a cautious nod, then slips away through the forest. “Till next time,” she calls out.

In silence, you and Taryn proceed along the stony path. “You made a hard choice,” they say.

“Mmm.”

“There’ll be more sacrifices before this is through.”
