A small increase, a huge expanse

A poem celebrating my 100th follower.

So…. I hit the magic 3-digit mark. Funnily enough, I was barely 20% of this just two months back, and yet between then and now, a bit more effort and consistency has done me wonders.

Even as I am reeling from a few shocking events, reaching this ever-elusive number merits a small moment of celebration, so here’s me, writing a poem about this.

A growth of one, from ninety-nine, The three-digit realm is now mine, New horizons, from this starting line, A reader’s support, my guiding sign. The me a while back, struggling to shine, Whimsical, chasing shadows did I pine, For my place in this medium, my shrine, A reader’s support, my guiding sign.

Posts, poems, stories, articles galore, Thoughts, lessons, ponder, or outpour, No effort spared to get a foot through that door, One, two, twenty, dragging through the floor, Slowly but surely, getting to the reader’s core, Last December, landing at Illumination’s shore, A new world of publications, one to explore, The next place to script and refine my lore.

But finally, I made it, the hundred is here, A small moment of solace, in times of fear, The lesson of writing discipline, to adhere, The moment to run, take it to a higher gear, The moment to reflect on reviews of a writing peer, The moment to grow out, brig my reader ever near, The moment to think ahead, celebrating this day dear, The new beginning, for this, is just the first frontier.
