A Sinister Minister?
Our family thought we’d found a new church home
Random Word Drabble Challenge Day 39 Word Is Minister

The minister and his “God Squad” came the Saturday after we moved in.
Because our house was on the same street, I guess they figured the church would be our sanctuary. Since services began at 9 am on Sunday, their welcome was timely.
And they were right.
After Sunday school, my son Timothy, then four, came running up as I was speaking with Reverend Harris, his smile spread like butter on warm toast.
“Dad, this place is great. They told us about Joseph’s beautiful, colorful coat.”
Pointing at the minister he asked, “But why do you call him Sinister Harris?”
