A Sequel to the Popular “Hot Wheels Unleashed” Is Set to Launch Later This Year
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged will be released in October of this year.

In my previous stories, I’ve talked about all sorts of racing games. You can find the links to those stories at the end of this post.
But today, I want to chat briefly about Hotwheels and the awesome second version of their Unleashed game. Let’s dive right in!
What are Hot Wheels?
Hot Wheels are awesome little toy cars that have been around for ages and continue to be a huge hit with kids and even some adults (because let’s be honest, they’re pretty darn cool). They’re like the rock stars of the toy car world.
So, picture this: you’ve got these tiny, badass cars that are about 1:64 scale, meaning they’re a fraction of the size of real cars. But don’t let their small size fool you, because these little dudes pack a serious punch. They’re made of die-cast metal, which makes them sturdy and able to withstand some serious racing action.
The thing that really sets Hot Wheels apart from other toy cars is their mind-blowing designs. These babies come in all sorts of shapes, sizes, and colors. You’ve got sleek sports cars, gnarly muscle cars, speedy race cars, rugged monster trucks, and even futuristic concept cars that look like they came straight out of a sci-fi flick.
And let’s not forget the super cool special editions and collaborations they do with big-name brands like Marvel, Star Wars, and even video games.
But the fun doesn’t stop at just collecting these rad cars. Hot Wheels are made for racing, my friend. They have this epic track system that allows you to build insane racecourses with loops, jumps, twists, and turns. You can go head-to-head with your buddies and see whose car is the fastest, or challenge yourself to beat your own records.
Hot Wheels have been a staple in many childhoods for decades. They ignite the imagination, fuel creativity, and bring pure joy to kids (and adults) all around the world. They’re not just toys; they’re a whole world of adventure and excitement, where you can let your imagination run wild and create epic races and stunts.
So, if you’re into miniature cars that pack a punch, look no further than Hot Wheels. They’re the kings of the toy car universe, and once you start collecting and racing them, you’ll be hooked for life.
About Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged
Guess what? Hot Wheels Unleashed, that awesome racing game with those super tiny cars, is coming back with a bang! Get ready for Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged, hitting PC and consoles on October 19, 2023.
This sequel is stepping it up with a whopping 130 cars available right from the start, along with five wicked race environments. And hold on tight, because motorcycles and ATVs are joining the party too! Plus, you’ll have a bunch of cool new ways to customize your rides and show them off online.
Now, here’s where things get really exciting. Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 brings in two epic powers: dashing and jumping. Dashing lets you slide your car sideways, smashing into opponents or pulling off an epic drift across the finish line.
And jumps? Well, they give you an insane vertical boost, launching you into the air like a pro. You can imagine how crazy course designers will go with shortcuts and all that jazz.
Remember the City mode in the first game? Well, the sequel takes it up a notch. The campaign promises to be an “enhanced, story-driven” experience, featuring four rad original characters.
Milestone, the game’s creators, said that they’ll present each character’s background and personality through awesome animated cutscenes, making the whole thing feel like a captivating narrative. How cool is that?
Oh, and get this: Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged will have online crossplay and cross-platform custom track sharing right from the get-go. You can race against folks on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, and even share your custom tracks with them. Sadly, Nintendo Switch won’t join the crossplay party.
I gotta tell you, I’m stoked for this game. And guess what? I’m not the only one! Phil Iwaniuk from PC Gamer praised the first Hot Wheels Unleashed as a fantastic revival of the arcade racing genre.
He described the cars zooming around like they’re shot out of a particle accelerator, tackling loop-de-loops and hairpin turns while bouncing off other racers like a wild trading market. That sounds like a blast, right?
