A Path to Freedom

Day 82: Surrendering guilt and negative thoughts bring freedom

Watching the sun peek over the horizon this morning was a beautiful sight. I spent a few moments looking out the window as the sky lit up. After my meditation this morning, I felt some thoughts come up that I have to let go of. My inner being is telling me to write all of them down, no matter how painful they may be, and then to let them go. I am being lead to the path of freedom today. On my 100-day spiritual journey, I have learned that letting go takes time. Some days we are more able to let go than others. On the difficult days, we give ourselves grace. I am grateful for all that I am learning from the book Letting Go by David R. Hawkins.

As negative thoughts, feelings, and attitudes are relinquished, we re-own the power that we had given over to the world. -David R. Hawkins

On the path to allowing myself to be free to be who I truly am, I have encountered resistance. It comes in the form of old thoughts, patterns, limiting beliefs, and guilt. I believe that we have immense, loving power in our hearts. It gets covered up by so much negativity. We tend to limit our own selves every day. To break free, we have to become aware of all of the obstacles we have allowed along the way.

I know in my heart that there is a beautiful path waiting for each and every one of us. You can light the way through letting go of the darkness you have held for so long. It feels like you have created a masterpiece, and then covered it up with a dusty cloth. Today is the day to uncover that spirit. There is freedom waiting for you.

In the surrendered state, we are independent of the outer world as a source of satisfaction because the source of happiness has been found within us. -David R. Hawkins

My prayer and my intention for you today is that you envision the beautiful path ahead of you. See it as radiant, loving, and waiting for you. All you need to do is let go of the guilt and negativity blocking your way. Freedom is always there for you. I am right here with you as you let go, I am on the same path, walking with you.

How do you envision your path to freedom?
