Random Word Drabble Challenge Day 50 Word Is Adamant.

Since drabbles are so short, please remain on the page for at least 30 seconds.

Despite his persistent pleas, his mother remained adamant: no puppy for his birthday. She cited responsibility and the need for space, but his puppy-dog eyes only intensified.

His birthday arrived with cake and ice cream. Yet, there was no furry bundle waiting.

Disappointment clouded his face, until his mother’s voice rang out:

“I may have said no to a puppy, but I didn’t say no to a kitten.”

With a squeal of delight, he embraced the tiny tabby in his arms. His mother’s resolve softened, knowing love had found a way.

“I’ll call her Molo — short for mother’s love.”
