Snapshots March Prompt/ Water Reflections

A Mirror Image

The fascinating world of water reflections

Water has always fascinated and inspired me.

Of the many places I was lucky enough to call home, the Netherlands has been one of my favourites — years of sheer bliss, walking and cycling along the many canals, the reason why Amsterdam is referred to colloquially as the ‘Venice of the north.’

Relocating to Canada has also been a wonderful experience — one of the biggest highlights for me personally has been living a mere 15-minute walk away from Lake Ontario. All my walks invariably lead to the Lakeshore waterfront… my happy place.

Sharing some of my favourite snaps.

It took eight long years, but we finally made it across to British Columbia and Alberta, enjoying the breathtaking views of the towering mountains and the turquoise lakes …truly heaven on earth! This sight was like a balm, soothing the soul, making me forget all my worries and anxieties...

It took me a few years to embrace the bitter cold with the dreaded windchill here in Toronto, but now I have grown to love the Winter season as well & nothing stops me from going on my walks in those temperatures too.

As the saying goes:

There’s no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes!

Grateful to have found this wonderful space to share my amateur photography. A big thank you to Yana Bostongirl, whose encouragement on this first piece below, nudged me to share more of my own images.
