Control your Mind
You can’t always influence what happens, but you can always be in charge of how you respond

Whenever I feel distraught or anxious, I go to my favourite place: Just taking in this sight, and breathing, calms my racing mind.
I come away grounded and in control.
Our choices and our reactions are the only things we can control.
We try to control others and their beliefs - be it our partners, our children, society at large.
We try to control time, the economy, the traffic!
But nothing is in our hands.
No, not even our own body: we can fall prey to an accident or an illness at any time.
Sharing the wisdom of the serenity prayer I grew up with :
“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference.”
