A Dense Fog

It was so thick you could hold it in your hand…

This drabble (100-word story) is a response to Making Your Characters Squirm! (Idea 8), written by JF Danskin at The Fiction Writer’s Den.

The fog was so thick that it took effort to walk through. Stacy grabbed a handful and blew on it. It danced and swirled until it was sucked back into the solid mass.

She got turned around the instant she left her office. It had taken her twenty minutes for what should have been a three minute walk.

She finally spotted her car up ahead. But when she reached for the handle something grabbed her hand.

She fought with everything she had, but its grip held fast. Exhausted, Stacy gave in. And she was absorbed, never to be seen again.

This 23rd drabble is written as part of the “100 Story Challenge” by @Zane Dickens.
