A special day

Today I met a wonderful person. It is a special day as I met a friend from our Medium fraternity. She is Sanghita Pal.

I started reading Sanghita’s posts quite recently. She is a wonderful photographer.

I started seeing the photos and the write-ups posted by her on Medium and often complimented her.

Just to let you know do see her latest post If You are Bored, Change Colors… …like the chameleon. The photo of a chameleon hanging on to the plants is amazing.

Then I read a poem by her The Enigmatic Fog. Every photo in the poem was a treat and the poem touched my heart.

She is a kind person. I read a beautiful article by her on Gift Yourself Kindness with a Dash of Goodness.

She is now selected as a contributor for a book on poems by Dancing Elephants Press

Last week by some chance we came to know that we live in the same city and I asked her to meet sometime. She promised she would meet me in the end of February.

She sent me a message if I was free to meet her today. I was busy from the 1st to 5th of March with the exception of today. I was about to make another commitment when I saw her message. It made me feel very happy and I immediately accepted her offer to meet.

We fixed up an appointed place and I offered to pick her up at the local train (Metro) Station but she just would not agree as she thought it might take me out of my way.

I explained the directions to her and also sent the location pin and there she was.

It was such a joy to meet her.

Sanghita is warm, lovely, gentle, witty and a happy person. Every moment that we shared was full of joy and positivity. She has sparkling eyes and a smile on her face.

We met at a resturant calle Azula. It was a Pan Asian newly opened up place.

Azula means Blue Flame we were told.

Sitting inside the restaurant was a pleasure. It was spacious, well decorated, and with a lovely ambiance. The servers treated us with respect. We got a wonderful place to sit.

Soon we were sipping a wonderful mocktail. 👇🏽

We left the choice to the server and he gave us the most wonderful drinks to freshen ourselves.

After that was a dream. We chatted like old friends talking about family and friends and habits and hobbies. It just did not seem that we had just met.

We spoke about Medium and its blessings for having met through it.

The lunch was excellent. Food was sumptuous and we ended with a very tasty dessert to celebrate our meeting.

Soon Sanghita was ready to leave but I would not let her go without seeing the flowers in our community garden which I was so excited to show. So here we are in the garden 👇🏽

The three beautiful yellow dahlias were a perfect setting. They were peeping out and it was Sanhita’s suggestion of positioning that we got this lovely shot of the Dahlias with us in the click.

Sanghita wanted to make memories of a bed of flowers in a photo. So we had a photo clicked near the beautiful bed of colorful flowers that were resplendent with color.

Since my home was right there I took Sanghita home for a cup of tea. We chatted for a little while and I realized later that we did not take a picture here.

It was wonderful to meet Sanghita Pal who is a full-time freelance writer

To wrap up

If you have an opportunity to meet someone from Medium don’t lose the opportunity to do so. It is so inspiring to meet each other and we learn so much through our meetings.

I do not know how connections are made but it is a message that we should not ignore. The meetings are so beautiful and adorable.

In my 2 and a half years on Medium, I made wonderful friends and connections and I got to meet 2 beautiful people Dr. Gabriella Korosi and now Sanghita Pal. I do hope to find and connect with more people.

Note to Sanghita

Thank you dear Sanghita Pal for your warmth, positivity, and the love that you showered on me, and do meet again.
