The Enigmatic Fog
Weeds & Wildflowers Prompt Response: Shrouded
1
You smile and set your gaze
Like the fog —
Mysterious, magical, impalpable.
I feel I have been waiting long
for this doe-eyed damsel.

2
I don’t know you for long
whatsoever,
But what I know is
the depth of my love is not to be
measured by the length of acquaintance.

3
Love is an endless maze,
A mystery.
Sometimes I feel you are mine
But the next moment, you vanish
from my dreams.

4
I love my journey into the dense fog.
I am a seeker.
Seeker of knowledge, seeker of truth.
And I know to discover truth, I have to travel
To find my love in serendipity.

5
Sometimes I try to gauge
Who is more engaging?
The impenetrable fog or the enchanting you!
I ask Him.
He smiles but seems clueless, too!

6
The gloomy and foggy morning
May not end up as gloomier
and foggier evening.
Who knows you may say,
Let’s get lost under the starry, starry night!

7
Faith keeps the magic alive.
The fog is rising.
I must find out
Why are you afraid of
walking with me into the fog!

8
I trust God
Like the way I trust that
if I lose our way in the dense, dark fog,
He will guide us to
a beautiful destination.

9
A whole new world awaits
Beyond the fog.
So, let’s get vanished in the fog…
A whiff of eucalyptus and pine
with a tinge of camphor will follow.

10
We two will meet, someday
Like the sun illuminates
the fog surrounding me.
The darkness has just left
promising a bright day ahead.
