Why A Cowards Quest For Self-Esteem Will Improve Your Life

“Man is a mystery… I am studying that mystery because I want to be a human being.” Fyodor Dostoevsky

I’ve always been a nervous, anxious person. Always worried, about what I’ve never been sure of, but the fear follows me everywhere I go. Afraid of what others will think, afraid I will look stupid or make a mistake. These fears pop up any place, at any time.

It wasn’t until years later I discovered the root of the fear.

My own insecurities. My fear of not being good enough or smart enough or rich enough all came from the feeling that I am not enough.

Somewhere along the line, I began to believe I was less than other people. I put others on a pedestal and myself in the dirt. I don’t know where this feeling came from, but I knew I had to overcome it if I ever hoped to have some self-respect.

I’ve spent too much of my life worried about what others will say or think about me. This has caused me to be a scared, small, pathetic person. I have allowed fear to control my life and now I’m lonely and depressed.

The only way to eliminate these false beliefs is to address them and work to remove them from my life.

This book is my way of working through the limits I have put on myself. By reflecting on who we are and what we believe we can get to the core of who we are.

When we are confident in ourselves and have a goal to aim for, we open ourselves to new opportunities and unimaginable results.

My hope is, by me working through my issues, I can offer some ideas and insights that will help you as well.

I’m not saying this is a one size fits all solution, but certain core ideas are true for everyone. By getting past all the noise and clutter of life, we find the truth.

The following chapters discuss some of the things I believe, by getting to the core of who we are, we can understand what we want and where we’re going. Let this book help you start your journey.
