A Caveman’s Prehistoric Love Letter.
Me ungh you so much

Hi,
Me wish me had words to show me feeling. Me think these words not made yet. Me no can wait for new words. Me tell you what me can now.
How can me say? You have big nose, big smell. Me like your jaw and mouth.
Me chest feel like warm scare light when you look at me. Warm scare light not burn too much from you though. Warm scare light in chest make me mouth spread wide.
Me give you anything. Me sharp stick. Me loincloth. Me hair off me back. Me would kill big long-tooth cat for you. Me even let you eat all good parts.
Me have these feelings until predator drag me carcass away. Me promise.
Me take you now, throw you over shoulder and show you cave.
Oog and Grung say cave where thumping in chest is. Ha. Oog and Grung idiots. Me say cave is where me take you. Me take you now.
Me think of you before and now and always. Me ungh you so much
Me.
Scott Hughey wishes he could draw like Gary Larsen. He’d draw one of his Far Side cavemen, chiseling this letter on a slab of stone, with his tongue hanging out because the caveman can’t figure out the words he wants to use. The caption would be something about Love Letters before Letters.
