Random Word Drabble Challenge Day 26 Word is Guess
We were getting ready for dinner with some friends.
As was usually the case, I finished getting ready before her and lounged on the bed playing Candy Crush as she changed from outfit to outfit.
She asked, “Which do you like the red or the blue?”
“The blue, I guess.”
“Should I wear heels or flats with this. You know Susan’s self-conscious about her height.”
“Yes, you’re right, I guess.”
“Does this dress make me look fat?”
“I guess.”
“Oh wait, what did you ask me?” I asked much too late. The hair dryer was already headed my way.
A drabble is exactly 100 words, no more, no less. In this case, the random word to build the story around is “guess.”
Thanks to Nancy Oglesby and Fiction Shorts for the daily challenge.
Here are three other drabbles for your enjoyment.
