9 Things That Will Solve 99% Of Your Problems
Number 5: Get rid of toxic people.
Problems never stop.
No matter how successful, rich, beautiful, or popular we are, we will always have problems. I guess they are a part of life.
However, there are some things we can do to eliminate many problems.
1. Think Like A Stoic
“You have power over your mind — not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.” — Marcus Aurelius
Stoic philosophy has helped me tremendously and made me a more calm and resilient person. One of the main messages of this philosophy is that you have to learn to distinguish between things that you control and things that are out of your control.
We should focus on the things we can control and accept everything else without wasting energy on things we can’t change anyway.
Practicing this usually eliminates many of the things we think are our “problems.
2. Hit The Gym
Most of the health problems people face could be avoided with an active lifestyle. A proper mix of cardio and strength training will do most people a world of good.
If you can motivate yourself to exercise regularly, you will be rewarded with more energy, a higher quality of life, and, especially as you get older, fewer health problems.
3. Get Your Money Right
Money problems can cause enormous stress and many other problems, for example in your relationships.
If you are struggling with money, you probably have either an income problem, a spending problem, or both. You are either earning too little or spending too much on unnecessary things.
Solving the spending problem requires only your discipline. Simply stop buying useless stuff you don’t need. The stress relief from having more money is the “sacrifice”.
The income problem is a little harder to solve, but I think it’s quite possible in this day and age. The internet offers us endless opportunities to earn money on the side.
4. Sleep 8 Hours A Day
Starting the day with a good night’s sleep is worth a lot. After all, lack of sleep can lead to many physical and mental illnesses.
It’s time to prioritize sleep.
5. Get Rid Of Toxic People
Dare to distance yourself from people who regularly bring stress and drama into your life and more problems will disappear. Fake friends, for example, are part of this group of people. You can find out how to recognize them in this article.
6. Meditate
Meditation has been proven to alleviate depression, anxiety, and stress. It also improves our attention span, improves sleep, and reduces blood pressure.
Taking 10 minutes to meditate once or twice a day is a cheat code to improve your mental health.
7. Focus On The Truly Important Things
Just as we should distinguish what we can influence and what we cannot, we should learn to distinguish what is important and what is not.
If you can’t control something and/or it’s not important, then stop wasting your energy on it.
If something is not a real problem, just don’t make it one in your head. This only causes unnecessary stress, which might cause further problems.
8. Get Some Sunlight Daily
Sunshine is very healthy for us. At least in moderation. That a sunburn is unhealthy should be clear.
Sunlight improves our mood and is needed for the synthesis of vitamin D.
9. Keep Your Friends And Family Close
Being alone sucks.
After all, relationships are one of the most important aspects of our lives. Spending enough time with your loved ones is crucial for your overall well-being.
