7 Years Back, at the Age of 20, I Got My First Ever Job.
It paid me Rs. 4000 per month in hand

Fast forward two years to age 22, and my earnings had jumped to 2 lakhs per annum. In another three years, at age 25, I was making a respectable 10 lakhs per annum. Now, at age 27, my annual income has soared to 24 lakhs.
Here’s how it all unfolded…
I began this journey with a simple desire for financial independence and stability. With no clear goals or plans, and my sights set on completing my bachelor’s and master’s degrees, I needed a job — any job.
I scoured newspaper ads, attended walk-in interviews, and after just 10 days, found myself in the final rounds of interviews at a startup called TELE GUIDE, a BPO company. They offered me a monthly salary of around 4,000 rupees — a sum that would cover my college fees. Hurdle one: cleared.
My role involved bringing in business clients through invitations and presentations, despite my lack of real-world experience in sales and marketing.
The company took a chance on me, impressed by my attitude and eagerness to learn. So, I dove in, honing my speaking and presentation skills and absorbing as much knowledge as possible.
As time passed, I began to contemplate pursuing an MBA to pivot my career towards management. It was a daunting decision, considering the time and financial commitments involved. But, after much deliberation, I took the plunge, enrolling in a one-year MBA program at Narsee Monjee University, Mumbai.
Campus placement days arrived, and despite my nerves, I persevered, eventually securing a job offer from Teleperformance — a significant milestone in my journey.
I threw myself into my new role, relishing the challenges and opportunities it presented.
When I left Teleperformance in 2 years, I was earning 5L, considering I had started with 50,000K just 4 years back!
And then my last Job HCL I earned 24L pa as Project Manager in just 7 Years.
I reached where I am today because people believed in me.
They took a chance on me, even when I knew little about business.
Aman Mahaseth, CEO of Tele Guide, believed in me when I was a nobody.
Teleperformance also took a chance on me, even when I didn’t initially perform as expected.
The only thing I did was to be grateful for these opportunities and work hard once I received them.
Everyone works hard to get an opportunity. But after getting an opportunity, no one works harder.
That is the essence of life.
Don’t take these things for granted.
Be grateful.
And work to earn that opportunity, once you have got it!
If people believe in you, do yourself a favor and bet on yourself.
Yourself!
After all, sometimes, the greatest opportunities come when you least expect them.
