600+ Reads A Day Post, But I Still Fail.

I never thought I could go up like that, and I never knew that’s how it would land. From 0 to Hero then back to level 1. (I’m still flowing)

What I learned from a post I posted on Dec. 21, 2023.

Listen carefully as our menu options have recently changed = read 30 seconds before you clap or leave, (not needed, do whatever you want)

Just tell them.

One month into Medium partner program. I found Carl Jeffers’s Post “My First 2 Weeks On Medium: Here’s My Stats”, it was posted on Dec. 7. I did not see it until Dec 17. (that is why the more you read the more you grow)

Just imagine if I missed that post that day. (you’ll probably never see me)

Which the Post on Dec 18, 2023 would never have existed. And every post after that would have been totally different. (Like a book without a Cover)

Something to takeaway:

1. There’s a reason why some content does well and some get no traction at all. It is your responsibility to figure it out. (the clues are left in each post) The example above said it all, start digging.
2. Look for posts that didn’t do well and did well, compare them side by side, tell the difference, and start applying what you see and learn.
3. Track your progress by measuring how long it takes you to pouch out another post that can grab 30 seconds of attention from the reader.

There is nothing special until you let the market discover what you are made of. (if you need traffic, go get traffic, how?)

What is attractive is what you did and how you did it. Just that.

They ask why are you obsessed with Carl, if that is what you think, then you got it wrong again.

I see it as you learn from the best to be the best, there is nothing wrong with that.

It is not about Carl’s, it’s about finding Gold in an unexplored mine.

While you craft yourself into a golden mind.

On Medium, feedback comes in an instant.

If you write like a newspaper, you’ll get a skimming reader.

And had you asked yourself, Why you haven’t received a comment yet?

There is a difference between a block of text and a block of words that tickles your stubborn mind.

What works, works until you it doesn’t, know just and you’ll be fine.

Life is full of ups and downs, who told you it would be any different here?

I was shocked for a moment when I hit 600+ reads with one post. (it was 1k reads that day, basically the whole account got scratched)

Learn from momentum writing, speak to the reader, yeah speak to them.

And they love to hear how you tripped so keep tripping until;

You have a vision of what to try next, if not, you’ll need to read more.

This is the post that had me fall the hardest. (And I can’t grammar)
