6 Most Dangerous Places Around the World You Should Know
Deadliest destinations on earth you’ll thank learning about.

The Earth is the only place where humanity is found, at least for now. Whether the planet be in peace or conflict, where some places are a reflection of paradise, others are a bit nightmarish, but only Earth can host us — a place where we belong.
Throughout history, the world has gone through many phases. The predominant political and economic disparities have led to the formation of regions, some safe and prosperous and others unstable and unsafe.
Humankind has tried its best to make this a better place for the generations to come — but, sadly, we haven’t reached that stage yet.
A utopian society is still a dream for the people of this world where everyone is safe and there is equality for all.
Having said that, it is something that is not yet achieved, and it’s not likely that it will be fulfilled shortly.
While some are man-made problems, others are caused by nature. The outdoors can be detrimental, from extreme weather to extreme terrain. Some places are just hard to survive, and character has its toll on the people living there or visiting.
In this article, we will go through some of the most dangerous places in the world.
1. The Snake Island
Ilha da Queimada Grande, more commonly known as The Snake Island, is a small-sized island off the coast of Brazil in the Atlantic ocean.
Being the only natural home of Bothrops insularis (golden lancehead pit viper), often considered one of the most venomous snakes in the world — it is believed to be living on the island for thousands of years, feeding primarily on birds.
The island is closed to the public to protect the people and the Snake. The declining population of the Snake has forced the Brazilian authorities to take these precautionary measures to save this fascinating creature which is critically endangered.
Queimada Grande is only accessible to the Brazilian navy and to some selected researchers and scientists who keep an eye on the Snake population and naturally occurring changes on the island.
2. Banned to visit North Sentinel island
Not many places in this day and age are banned for humans to visit just because of the humans living over there.
One of these places is North Sentinel Island, located in the Bay of Bengal. It is home to the Sentinelese, an indigenous people in voluntary isolation, defending their island by force from the outsiders.
The people of the island go to any extent to protect their isolation after the incident in 2006. The people who were trying to find out a bit more about the island were welcomed by arrows and stones, and the murder of a Christian missionary in 2018 forced the government of India to ban all from entering the island.
3. Extreme weather and crazy wildlife of Svalbard
One of the world’s northernmost inhabited areas, Svalbard is a Norwegian archipelago between mainland Norway and the north pole.
Svalbard is known for its extreme weather, its rugged terrain of glaciers, and its vast treeless lands with permanently frozen subsoil, which provides shelter for Polar bears, Arctic foxes, and Arctic reindeers.
The residents of Svalbard are always on their toes, keeping a lookout for polar bears and other predators in their area. Especially after the recent attacks on locals by the polar bears.
The rough and unforgiving weather with a giant predator on the hunt makes this place one of the most unsafe places in the world.
4. Pripyat’s Nuclear Meltdown
1986 is the year that the world will never forget due to the nature of the event near the city of Pripyat.
A meltdown in the Chernobyl nuclear power plant shook the world — a radiation spike that was never before recorded made it an unprecedented event.
The locals were forced to move to other places far from Pripyat, where they were safe from the fallout. Most people were diagnosed with cancer and other radiation exposure-related problems.
After completing a sarcophagus in 1986, another protective layer was added in 2017. Despite all of these efforts, radiation levels are still dangerously high, and visitors must wear proper equipment before visiting the site.
The final cleaning is to be done in 2065 when the radiation level is no longer harmful.
5. Thompson Manitoba’s Soaring Crime Rate
Thompson Manitoba has been at the top of the list of most unsafe and undesirable places in Canada. With its insane crime rate, it has been very hard for the people of Manitoba to live their lives daily.
Significant contributors to crime and violence are the immigrants, local youth, and people in Manitoba for a short period. The list of crimes in Manitoba daily includes everything you can think of, from robbery to drugs to physical and sexual assault.
Walking on the sidewalks or just relaxing in a park are some of the basic activities that the people of Manitoba cannot perform due to the fear of street crime.
6. Tijuana most dangerous city in the world
Tijuana, the second-largest city in Mexico, is the most dangerous city globally — known for its horrible crimes like murder, kidnapping, drugs, rape, etc.
The city reports more than 7 homicides every day, which is the highest globally. Extreme poverty plays its part in increased crime rates, and this becomes a reason for some to join one of many gangs which operate in Tijuana.
The fight for dominance in the city is a norm for the locals. Clashes between the gangs are frequently erupting.
Still, many believe if they have the means to leave the place and move to some place better they won’t hesitate in doing so. Additionally, they have learned to live in these kinds of conditions.
Final words
We love to explore places that we haven’t seen before as a human. However, when it comes to traveling, it is more sensible to choose the destination wisely after thorough research about the crime and safety of the place.
Next time you plan a trip for a new adventure, keep these places in mind — not that you shouldn’t visit these places, but yeah, safety comes first.
