It’s heavy and negative. “It’s an opportunity” opens the door to growth. Each time you can see the gift in life’s obstacles, you can handle difficult situations in a rewarding way. Each time you have the opportunity to stretch your capacity to handle the world, the more powerful you become.” ― Susan Jeffers</p><p id="d4be">Whenever you catch yourself thinking and hurting yourselves with those thoughts, you should try these tips.</p><ul><li><b>Develop awareness</b>. Pay attention to what you’re thinking about and recognize that just because you think something, doesn’t mean it’s true. Our thoughts are often exaggerated and disproportionate.</li><li><b>Stop contemplating. </b>When you make a mistake, or you’ve had a bad day, you may be tempted to re-play the events over and over in your head. But, repeatedly reminding yourself of that embarrassing thing you did, or that questionable thing you said, will only make you feel worse, and it won’t solve the problem.</li><li><b>Imagine that your best friend needs advice. </b>If a friend expressed feelings of self-doubt, hopefully, you wouldn’t say, “You can’t ever do anything right,” or “You’re so stupid. No one likes you.” Yet, we’re often quick to say those things to ourselves. Instead, you’d be more likely to offer a friend a support word of encouragement like, “You made a mistake, but it’s not the end of the world.” The key is to treat yourself equally as kind as you’d treat a friend and apply those words of encouragement to your life.</li><li><b>Consider what the worse that can happen is. </b>Often, the worst-case scenario isn’t as bad as you might imagine. 5 Ways to Overcome Your Cruel Inner Critic

What you focus on is what becomes powerful

We all have one — an inner voice that expresses criticism, frustration, or disapproval about our actions. It might sound like, “you should,” “why didn’t you?” “what’s wrong with you?” or “why can’t you get it together?”

The actual self-talk is different for each of us, as is its frequency or intensity. Sometimes I caught myself thinking that is not the way that I supposed to do the things. The outcomes were not really what I was expecting. The thoughts in your mind start to tell you that you are not good enough.

Then, you just quit and start to do the thing you always do. You have to be clear to understand that everyone pass-through things like this. It is normal to have those thoughts. What is not normal is to be guided by those thoughts.

We have to be aware if you want to have a purpose in your life is a must to try different things. You have to be creative and fearless to try things that you never did.

Passion is a result of the thing that you have tried before. How would you find out if you never try?

We have to try things we never did, and you don’t know if you would like it or not. But that is the point of trying so many things.

Indeed, it’s important to calm down the inner critic we all have when things don’t go the way we are expecting. It’s fine.

When the negative critics arise, we just have to be ready to hit the pause button to silence that inner critic.

You can ask yourself :

Who told you that?? Is somebody there, or is it just your imagination that is creating that critic.

Doing so, you will recognize that it is merely imagination and knowing that is a process that you have to do. Of course, not all the outcomes will be amazing, but you will be surprised that how many things you can find that will make you feel great.
