5 Tiny Actions To Instantly Raise Your Vibration And Lift Your Spirits

Feeling down or depressed, or just need a quick vibration booster throughout the day?
Below are five small things you can do throughout your day to instantly change your mood and shift your energy.
1. Drink more water.
Did you know that most people are dehydrated? Although I’m aware of this fact, I still have to prompt myself frequently throughout the day to drink more water. Proper hydration enhances mental clarity and increases energy levels, which in turn, regulates emotions. Whenever you feel overwhelmed, unfocused, or struggling when working on something, the act of stopping what you are doing, getting up from your seat, pouring a nice big glass of water, and drinking it can help you feel calmer and more centered.
Side tip: Downing a big glass of water right when you wake up is a great way to kickstart your energy.
2. Get more sunlight.
One habit I am trying to implement is taking morning walks in the sun within the first hour of waking up. In addition to its many benefits, sunlight triggers the production of serotonin in the brain, which boosts mood and an overall sense of well-being. Exposure to the sun’s natural energy source also stimulates the flow of prana, or life force energy, in the body, helping you feel motivated for the day ahead and inspired to take action.
3. Take regular movement breaks.
Our physiology and our emotions are directly connected; change one, and the other follows suit. So the easiest way to raise your vibration and flip the script of any bad mood is to… Move. Your. Body! The simple way to do this is to start paying attention to your body posture and facial expression during the day. Small tweaks to your body posture or faking a smile can go a long way to change how you feel and your overall disposition as you work through your day.
My go-to pick-me-up for when I am feeling sluggish or my vibe is low: doing a quick set of burpees for 60 seconds. Another favorite is taking a few deep breaths from my core, holding it for as long as possible, and then breathing it all out with a roar.

4. Listen to music from a time period.
Think of some of the best time periods of your life. What year was it? Recall some of the songs you loved listening to at this time. Where were you? What were you doing? Create a quick playlist and listen to the songs that were thematic of this incredible time period in your life and evoke positive memories. Music has a profound impact on our minds, emotions, and five senses — serving as the soundtrack of our lives.

5. Write five things you love about yourself.
Stop what you are doing right now. Get something to write with and list five things you love about yourself. Appreciate the best parts of your personality. Give some love to your skills and qualities. Are you an especially good friend? Generous? Patient? Funny? Make this a daily habit by carving out five minutes to gush over yourself. Over time you will be surprised by the compounding improvements this has on your emotions and self-esteem from doing this every day.
