There are not many who don’t know about the tragic events of the Holocaust, but did you know there are conspiracy theorists out there who attempt to deny its existence?
According to their antisemitic ideologies, if one fact can be discredited or dismissed, the entire event falls apart.
Clearly, this entire argument is bogus, considering Germany itself came forward in front of the world to apologize. And as a note on just how seriously horrifying this claim is, Holocaust denial is actually illegal in many European countries.
Not to mention, history already proved what the backlash is against countries that try to publicly deny the Holocaust despite their lack of involvement in its history.
1- It’s not denial; it’s revisionism
Hiding behind a fancy term does absolutely no justice to the hatred these conspiracy theory junkies are spreading through the wide chasm of the internet.
There are two types of deniers: the first are completely against the existence of the holocaust, and the others acknowledge the holocaust but claim that their country had nothing to do with it.
One way these theorists are trying to imply this rotten idea within people is by softening the term “Holocaust”.
This means they try to use the word ‘holocaust’ in unrelated places, such as “red holocaust” or “babycaust”. There’s even a TV show that’s meant to educate people about the Holocaust; however, it is simply a glamorized soap opera filled with fictitious elements.
2- Blaming the Chamber
One of the main denials these theorists focus on is the gas chamber that Nazis used to murder Jews in the camps. They claim this entire massacre was simply a convoluted lie in order to get compensated for World War 2.
As horrifying as this is, the idea of a fabricated reality was first indicted by the Nazis themselves (the fathers of all antisemitism).
Whenever there were any authoritative visits, the Nazis would force the Jewish prisoners to glamourize themselves and make the place look decorated and homey. They also did these to shoot promotional videos to encourage more people to “join”.
There are many ways to go about an argument: one is by disproving the existing facts, and the other is by finding new facts that discredit the existing ones.
Some people would even go as far as to try and disprove existing photographs of the Holocaust as fake (it’s like the moon landing all over again).
That isn’t even the worst part. Survivors who still live with the trauma of this tragedy have blocked out the emotionally scarring moments of the Holocaust, leaving their memory in bits and pieces, which these antis use to “prove” the Holocaust never happened.
3- The root of the problem
As already spoken about, the Nazis were the main contributors to Holocaust denial.
They made it easier for these theorists to make their argument by limiting the records they kept of their horrid deeds, so no one could indict them for their actions.
Moreover, they had fake organizational fronts behind which the disgusting events would take place.
Theorists use this to back their idea that the Holocaust was fake because “Where is the written evidence?” seems enough to them to win this argument.
Due to the destruction of the original documents, historians have had to estimate some numbers, the value of which varies depending on the sources.
And boy do these delusional theorists love including that in their argument, thinking the slightest discrepancy is going to raise them to fame (they truly are delusional beyond repair).
4- Source of this propaganda
People these days are very accustomed to media-based proof without the need to check for credible sources or perform their own research.
Did you check if any of this information was credible? (Or are you just blindly going along with everything you’re reading?) This is a massive advantage for conspiracy theorists.
They feed you this information, and you just take it all in with disbelief plastered on your faces due to this brand-new information.
And with the growing times and the decline in the number of people who have survived the Holocaust still alive, who can blame you for not having credible sources to disclaim this otherwise?
Signature Matters
Holocaust deniers argue that there is exist no document under Hitler’s sign which states killing the Jews in masses. This is enough proof for the people who deny its existence. No matter how much all the later proofs go in the opposite direction.
For instance, historians later were to establish that those orders directly arrived from Hitler himself through speech recordings and other documents.
Moreover, what is even more interesting to note is that Hitler received a huge backlash on his euthanasia order, which apparently had his signature. Definitely, he wasn’t dumb enough to take responsibility for another such situation directly!
Seething in rage
In my (raging) opinion, there is something so disturbing about looking at people who are not only without an actual authentic history degree but antisemitic who have found new and profound ways to push their views on the general public.
And it’s even more disturbing how many people have started backing these views without any second thought.
There were nearly 6 million people who suffered — people who went through unimaginable pains, degradation, starvation, and who knows what else was too horrible even for them to talk about. And for people to inhumanely call them out as “fake” is something that makes us question the reality we live in and our faith in mankind.
