5 Personality Traits Scientifically Proven To Make Women Want To Sleep With You

For many men, this is just a dream. Most of the time, it’s the other way around. Sex is often treated as a resource that women possess and men are desperate to have. Examples of this include the fact that men are more likely to pay for food on dates and that prostitutes are almost exclusively female.

In a study that examined the influence of various male characteristics on women’s sexual satisfaction, 5 personality traits were found to be so attractive to women that they initiate sex more often with men who possess these traits.

The study on women’s sexual satisfaction

A study at the University at Albany found that characteristics such as a partner’s attractiveness, self-confidence, income, and shoulder width have a strong effect on his or her partner’s sexual satisfaction, orgasm intensity, and orgasm frequency.

Characteristics that make women initiate sex

Even if the above-mentioned characteristics of a man influence the satisfaction of his partner, there are other characteristics that ensure that sex comes from her more often.

What is fascinating is that the researchers found that these are exclusively personality traits.

To be more precise, they are the following:

Determination and Focus

Guys focus on your mission and the women will focus on you.

The male drive to put in the work to achieve one’s goals seems to be very sexy to women. By focusing more on what you want to achieve and doing whatever it takes, you will arouse the interest of women.

The study showed these two traits to be most highly correlated with the frequency with which the woman initiates sex.

Sense Of Humor

Being funny is hot.

In the study, a man’s sense of humor was found to be only a minimally weaker predictor than determination and focus of his partner’s desire to sleep with him more often.

The same applies to the two features Motivation and Intelligence.

The researchers of the study commented on these findings as follows:

As shown in Table 8, the only features that predicted how often women initiated penile-vaginal sex were certain partner psychological/personality traits. This is particularly interesting because the timing of sex is crucial when it comes to reproduction. Sex itself will not suffice in order to reproduce. Impregnation requires relatively close temporal continuity between insemination and ovulation. Because sperm viability is short lived (for details see Gallup, Finn, and Sammis, 2009), if these two events are separated by more than +/− 24 hours the likelihood of impregnation is remote. Since female-initiated sex is more likely to occur during the fertile/mid-phase portion of the menstrual cycle (Adams, Gold, and Burt, 1978), female-initiated sex may do as much or even more than orgasm to promote impregnation.

Men, Put Your Best Foot Forward

What we as men can learn from this study is that determination and hard work greatly increase our attractiveness to women. Being lazy on the other hand repels most women.

After all, women are evolutionarily programmed to find a man who can provide for them and their offspring. Therefore it makes sense that qualities that predict the ability to gain resources like determination, focus, and motivation are seen as attractive in a man.
