5 Historical Geniuses Who Were Shockingly Misogynistic Jerks
For Confucius, a single testicle was better than a whole woman.

Some of the smartest people on the planet are often believed to be authors, philosophers, and scientists.
People from these three professions have been a blessing for all because of the work that they did to make our home and Earth a better place.
These people were insanely genius, crazy intelligent with IQ levels that were over the roof, and still, they were not good human beings; now you may ask why.
Well, it doesn’t necessarily mean you will still be a good human if you are gifted with an amazing CPU in your head.
In fact, some of these people with amazing minds have been ignorant, rude, and just unbearable when it comes to talking about their personal life.
These historic figures have said and done such things that are just way over the limits of today’s women.
Below you will find a list of people who were just amazing when it came to what they did — professionally.
However, we will prefer to know them as historical misogynists.
1. Martin Luther Believed Women Were Either Wives Or Prostitutes
Martin Luther was a 16th-century monk and a theologian and one of the most renowned figures in Christianity, especially his beliefs that helped in the reformation that gave birth to Protestantism.
He was many things and a sexist who always ranked women below men.
Martin Luther used his power and status to make statements that changed and made the society of his time more sexist.
He even related this to the word of god and stated a woman is either a wife or a prostitute, and there is no third title that she can have in a respected society.
2. The List Of Albert Einstein
Famous for his theory of relativity this Nobel prize winner was an amazing scientist, but what he not was a good man.
When it came to women, Albert Einstein was a pure sexist, and his misogyny can be seen in the list that he gave to his wife, Mileva Maric.
Some of the things that Albert Einstein included in the list to his wife were; she would not accept any kind of intimacy from him (Albert), she would do the laundry and keep his (Albert’s) clothes in an as tidy way as possible.
She would stop talking if he asks to keep silent; this is just the tip of the iceberg, as there were many more incidents.
It is believed it is because of this kind of behavior Mileva Maric left Einstein.
A man who taught the world many lessons about life couldn’t learn how to be a man who cares and loves his family.
3. For Confucius, A Single Testicle Was Better Than A Whole Woman
A wise man once said what a superior man seeks is in himself; what a small man seeks is in others; and in another famous quote, he says, do not do to others what you don’t want to be done to yourself.
Now! A person who is so pure of heart must be an amazing man, but sadly not.
Confucius may be a philosopher, but pure of heart, he certainly was not; some of his other infamous sayings include a woman is to be held under the dominance of a man.
In another quote, he goes way over the top, stating one hundred women are not worthy of a single testicle.
So here you have it; being a philosopher doesn’t really mean that you will be a good human too.
4. Gautama Buddha And His Backward Thinking
Gautama Buddha, the man upon whose teaching Buddhism is founded, and almost all of his teachings have one thing in common, which is peace and tranquility.
However, such was not the case when it came to giving a verdict on women.
Gautama Buddha was not an open-minded, forward-thinking person; rather, his views on women were backward; not only did he thinks women were stupid, dumb, and incapable of understanding his teachings.
Buddha also believed if women were not added to his order, his teachings would have lasted for more than 1000 years; now, they will last 500 years or less.
5. Aristotle Not The Kind Philosopher We Thought He Would Be
Perhaps the greatest philosopher and the first legit scientist in history, he is known for being someone who made contributions to all fields of science and philosophy.
The most renowned of his inventions is the invention of formal logic. Now you might be thinking, what on Earth is a person like Aristotle doing on this list?
Aristotle, who has done so much in all fields of knowledge, would be fairly progressive and open-minded.
However, that was not the case; not only did Aristotle believe that women were inferior to men in many ways, but he also insisted on proving it too.
Aristotle believed women should be as obedient as slaves, and because they are born as a woman, they are naturally defective.
Final Words
Men, no matter how literate or genius, have always been involved in some kind of misogyny, and this discrimination between men and women was at its peak during the earlier part of our history.
However, it is good to know that the world has moved forward, and now women have almost equal rights as men. Hopefully, things will only get better from here on for both men and women.
