5 habits that can transport you out of depression
Depression is something that you create for yourself; it’s not a disease or something that you need to fear.
Worst things that can happen to anyone is depression. More number of people are suffering from depression than the COVID-19, and the numbers are multiplying.
Why are people becoming so depressed? The answers no one knows!
Kids, teenagers, adult’s and old age people, all are suffering from depression, and it’s almost incurable if the person not realise it on time.
It’s dangerous than diseases like cancer because a depressed person dies every day and suffers more due to his uncontrolled thoughts and emotions.
First, we must understand what depression is?
The dictionary meaning of depression,
Feelings of severe grief and sorrow. “self-doubt creeps in, and that swiftly turns to depression.”
Which means feeling sad or creepy; we all feel in that way towards some or other things.
So, how will you differentiate between the normal sad feeling and the depressed, sad feeling?
It’s too simple if all the “things are good” and “something went wrong” in your life, for that, you are feeling sad then it’s okay.
On the other hand, if all “things are good” and “everything is going smoothly” in your life, and still “you are sad”, it means you are depressed.
Once someone asked me how can you say that someone is depressed?
I just told him, if the person is worried about everything, which is not essential for him and overthinking for no reason, that means he’s a victim of depression.
Other symptoms of a depressed person; Everything for him is just a mess, and he tries to avoid life and people too. Don’t misinterpret depression with introversion.
There is a big difference between introversion and depression.
Most people are suffering from depression, and they fail to accept it.
What is the cause of depression?
There are many reasons for the depressed state of a person, it can be because of hurt feelings, “too much attachment to someone” and he left.
Because of mental strain, loneliness, family problems, some other insecurities and burdens these all push a person into depression.
Today most people are depressed because of family issues, relationship issues and their self-doubts. People fail to handle all these things, and they fall into depression.
Note;
Depression occurs by various reasons mentioning all of them in this article is impossible, because some types of depression and phobias are still not discovered, and people are suffering them. And some depressions are minor issues because of that they get unnoticed.
It’s like gravity which was present before Newton saw that apple dropping, but he never noticed his poop where it goes, up or down, lol.
If you have watched the movie joker and you see yourself as the joker, then it simply means you are depressed.
Once you know, you are depressed than you can quickly cure it because your habits play a vital role in restoring you out of depression and the vice a versa.
How your habit leads you into depression?
Suppose you are sad and you have started listening to sad music, watching disturbing videos, and sad movies.
Later you will develop a habit of staying sad all the time. And you will start creating anxious thoughts about yourself; subsequently, you’ll try to do stupid things, like suicide and all.
A depressed person never acknowledges his depression. He continues to live with his depressed state. He just assumes everything is normal, and it’s necessary to be sad all the time, but that’s not true.
You must know this even when you lost someone very close to you being sad all the time will not bring him/her back to life.
So, it’s better to move and live free. Because by getting depressed you’re only destroying your life nothing else.
So, Try to avoid habits that drive you to the darkness instead of that try to stay happy and create habits that can lead you to happiness.
Your habits can take you out of depression in no time; if you use them correctly.
How?
1. Wake up early; it’s the most important thing for a depressed person.
I have discussed this before in many articles about the importance of waking up early at 4 am, and 5 am.
Mornings are helpful because mornings are peaceful and most of the people are sleeping during the mornings, so it’s the best time to figure out what’s wrong with your mind.
Morning is also best for your mental boost. And you can quickly figure out, what’s wrong with your mind because depression is a mind-based syndrome, it has nothing to do with your body parts.
You can be worried about your “body parts” like — colour of skin and all, but they don’t count in depression.
Remember this, don’t doubt yourself for something that is not in your control or can’t be changed, like the colour of your skin, and how you look or any other physical aspect of your body and behaviour.
In depression, your thoughts manipulate you to think in the wrong direction and make you believe that you’re not enough. Because of that, you start feeling low and later get depressed in the long run.
How to figure out that your thoughts are manipulating you?
It’s quite tricky for an average person to figure out because humans create 70000–80000 thoughts per day.
But it is possible if you “develop an awareness of your thoughts” then you can easily differentiate between “your thoughts”. And thoughts forced by your mind.
That’s the reason you must have an awareness of what you can think for Yourself?
Once you develop the awareness, then you can change your thoughts by changing your thoughts, you can drive your energy in a positive direction which will allow you to heal faster.
You must know this most of your problems can be solved by your thoughts because “your thoughts have vibrational energy” which has the power of healing.
If you start creating “positive and right thoughts; you can quickly get yourself out of depression in no time.
Waking up early really helps in figuring out the right thing for you and creating positive thoughts.
Thoughts created in the early morning stay in your mind the whole day.
2. Listen to positive music in the morning or anytime in a day.
Music helps more than anything; you know that music responds to water and our body is 70% water.
That’s the reason when you listens to any music, and your legs start moving.
Is this happens with you or just me?
If it doesn’t happen with, it means you’re depressed, lol.
Music is the best healer if you use it accurately because when you listen to music, it transforms you into another world depending upon what kind of music you’re hearing.
In the same way, if you’ll listen to positive songs, you’ll quickly heal. But do not try to listen to sad songs because it’s natural a dispersed person wants to listen to the sad songs, because he searches his life meaning in those tragic lyrics.
I am saying all this out of the experience.
I used to have a depressed friend, and I always have seen him doing negative things and listening to the saddest song.
He was depressed because his girlfriend dumped him for some other guy who has a car, and he only has a bicycle at that time. Lol.
3. Write some affirmations in the morning and try to revise it again and again.
Just prepare a list of positive thoughts, like I am a peaceful soul, I am a wonderful person.
Writing positive thoughts will help you generate “good vibrations” for yourself, and your vibrations are very vital for healing.
4. Do not fill up your mind with too much information.
It’s ubiquitous with people. Commonly, people fill up their minds with a lot more information than they can digest without knowing the consequences, and later this information troubles them.
You must understand this, information is the source of your thoughts.
If you limit the information that you are forcing into your mind, then you can control your thoughts.
A depressed person must take care of — What is he’s consuming in terms of reading material and videos?
If he consumes a lot more than he can handle than he’ll suffer that and this information will become a problem for him.
5. Talk to people who understand you and also try to listen to them.
In most of the depressed and phobia cases person wants to talk to others, but don’t want to listen.
He just keeps repeating, what’s in his mind, including his feeling and all.
If you are very depressed and able to understand — what others are saying to you? Why they want to save you, and what is your value them? Then you have a chance to be freed; otherwise, you are on your own will.
If you feel like you’re depressed, then you must talk to your parents or your close friends, about what you’re going through because sometimes sharing your feeling with others helps you in healing.
Do not try to isolate yourself or feel like no one cares for you because that’s not true. Because if we can have human rights for inhuman people, lol. Then your life is much precious than those.
Stay blessed and stay happy.
