Smart writers on Medium know the secret to staying organized, and at the same time, helping to promote their fellow writer.

One really strategic way to do this, is to take advantage of the awesome “list” feature that we have at our disposal.

If you’re hoping that this is another one of the gazillion stories, trying to describe the awesomeness of the Medium list feature, it’s not.

You can read some of those stories another time, including some of the ones I’ve written myself.

They include:

The purpose of this particular story, is to showcase some of the other Medium writers and the lists that they spend time creating and adding stories to.

So first, take time to look over the following lists that were created by some of my favorite fans and followers who write on Medium. Then, be sure to give some of the above stories your attention later, and you can learn more about the list feature.

Helpful and interesting lists created by writers on Medium

These lists created by the Medium writers you see here, are not only interesting and imaginative, but they should prove to be very helpful, when you’re trying to gain insight on a particular topic.

I’m proud and happy to share these lists from my fellow writers, especially since they were kind enough to include many of my own stories.

Thanks to the help of my email alerts from Medium, I was able to easily copy the information about these writers adding my stories to their lists.

Please take time to enjoy them…

Clearly, the topic of “Medium” and how to succeed on the website is a popular subject, but don’t think for a minute that this is the only subject writers are listing.

For example:

The cool thing about creating lists, is that each writer can have their own system, when it comes to how they categorize things.

For instance, my friends Robin and Mark have chosen to designate a list with my name and use it specifically for stories written by yours truly. These are just two of the stories they’ve added to the lists (thanks Robin).

Then there’s this particular writer who dropped one of my stories in a list that has a designation known only to her.

I’m not sure if that’s good or bad, but I appreciate the notice. Thank you Laurellynn.

If you’re a smart writer who is already using the list feature, that’s great! Don’t feel like you simply have to come up with creative list titles.

Since the list feature can be a big help with keeping up with what you’re reading, and what you plan to read, you can use easy designations, like the following writers:

If you notice a list title on this page, or somewhere else, and you happen to like the sound of it, feel free to use the title. Most writers, myself included, will probably be flattered by some form of imitation.

I love that Nicole and several other writers have created their own weekly lists, which are similar to my former publication feature titled: What I Read this Week”.

You can also just keep things as simple as you like, and merely add stories to your “reading list” (which is the default setting).

Final Thoughts

When you look over some of my titles that many of the writers have added to their own lists, you get a good idea about which stories seem to provide the most value to readers.

Take the necessary time to pay particular attention to these popular titles, as well as the related stories and titles that you find mentioned when you do your reading.
