3 Things You Can Expect When You Are Called
“For many are called but few are chosen”

1. Trials
When you believe you are chosen, do not be surprised at the fiery trials that come to test you. Don’t be surprised as though something strange was happening to you.
Consider it pure joy.
When you are called, you will face tests and trials that are meant to test your faith. Your faith will go through the fire and also through the waters.
And when you are chosen, you will face difficulties and hardships that are designed to refine and shape you into the person you were called to be.
These trials and tests although very uncomfortable should not discourage you. You must persevere through it.
It is perseverance through trials, hardships, and challenges that make you strong, mature and complete.
In a race, all runners run but only one gets the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training.
These tests and trials are a form of strict training you must go through. You’re in it for a prize. Those who easily give up in the face of trials can not qualify for the assignment and they get no prize.
When you are called, you must run in such a way as to get the prize. Don’t run like someone running aimlessly. Do not fight like a boxer beating the air. Run like you want to win the prize and fight like you do not want to lose.
Persevere like you want to be chosen to do good works.
2. Transformation
Anyone who is called can go to God just as they are however you cannot follow God that same way.
You will have to change.
When you are called by God, he begins a work of transformation in your life. When you are chosen, every aspect of your life is transformed.
The closer you get to God, the clearer you see your faults as they are revealed to you.
You are transformed from the inside out with this transformation changing your heart, your mind, your attitude, and your old ways.
You will experience a new birth. You will have a spiritual awakening of sorts. You will be stripped of your old self and transformed into the image and likeness of God.
There will be a visible transformation that takes place.
There is no one who is chosen by God without having the story of a changed life.
3. Triumph
Consider it pure joy whenever you face trials and tests of many kinds because the tests of your faith produce perseverance.
It is the perseverance that will keep you running your race even when your knees are weak. And it is perseverance that brings triumph and wins you the prize.
You can expect triumph when God chooses you as his vessel of service. You can expect to triumph over your trials, and every hurdle and obstacle, and experience victory in your life.
You can expect to win your race and not be knocked down during the fight.
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial. Having stood the test, you can expect to be chosen to receive a prize and that’s the crown of life that lasts forever.
You can expect to be empowered to do the great works that will be assigned to you.
So don’t be thrown into despair when you are tried and tested. Don’t despise it when you are being transformed and made whole. Instead, let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete and not lacking anything.
