7 Tests and Trials The Called Must Pass Before Going on to The Next Level
Fail a test and you take it again

1. The Test of Servanthood
God will not anoint the lazy. If you are going to be used, you must be a worker. You must first learn to serve.
If you’re going to be raised to heights of influence, you must serve and demonstrate your faithfulness to do the little things.
You must be willing to serve when you have nothing at all. You must serve when you have enough and still be ready to serve when you have everything.
The greatest amongst us are the servants.
It is only the humble who is willing to serve.
When you prove to be a faithful and humble servant, God calls and hides you to process you.
You must be willing to serve whether you have it all or you have nothing at all.
2. The Test of Concealment
If God sees something good inside you; if he sees potential in you, he hides you from the world and works in and on you.
He conceals you from the eyes of the wicked to keep you safe. But it doesn’t always feel like that.
What do you do when you feel hidden? What do you do when it feels like no one can see you? What do you do when you feel buried? What do you do when you feel overlooked?
This is where your motives are purified.
God will conceal you before he reveals you, but if you don’t know this, it leads to feelings of hopelessness which is a test in and of itself.
God will conceal you before he reveals you.
3. The Test of Hopelessness
This is the season of disconnect, isolation, heartbreak, betrayal, and discomfort that comes with being hidden.
What do you do when you’re not growing as fast as you would like? What do you do when it seems like everyone is moving ahead and you are stuck in one place? What do you do when nothing you do works? What do you do when you feel all alone?
It is in this season of the hopelessness that God will process you. It’s when God begins to mold your character and strengthen your spiritual endurance.
This is the season when you will come under pressure and when you come under pressure, what’s in you will be revealed.
The disconnection and isolation are often God’s invitation into the greater depths of his presence.
Can you remain faithful when nothing is happening?
It is in the season of the hopelessness of isolation that God will process you.
4. The Test of Faithfulness
Even when it seems like you are hidden from the world and overlooked by those who see you, you must still serve. You must still do your best work.
You must walk in excellence.
If you are faithful even in difficult circumstances, there will be favor in your life, even when things aren’t going the way you expected them to go.
But faithfulness isn’t just activity over time. It isn’t just action over an extended period of time. Faithfulness is excellence over time. It is action taken over an extended period of time with the right spirit, mindset, and attitude.
Can you remain faithful and keep on doing what you’ve been called to do even when you’re reaping no rewards? Will you be happy for others when they’re blessed with all that you’ve been praying for or will you be tempted to be envious?
Faithfulness is excellence over time.
5. The Test of Envy
It’s very easy to be happy and celebrate others when they are blessed, but it’s very difficult to celebrate others when they are blessed with what you’ve been praying for.
The test of envy will reveal the motives of your heart.
What do you do when others seem to get a quicker response to their prayers than you do?
Do you celebrate others when they are blessed in the way you want to be blessed, or are you filled with envy, an ungodly ambition, or a competitive spirit?
When you’re called, you will be tested and you will watch others be blessed in the way that you want to be blessed.
But don’t worry. You will get your own blessings if you can be faithful at what you’ve been called to do and if you can be happy for others.
But what do you do when you get all that you’ve asked for?
This test of envy will test the motives of your heart.
6. The Test of Blessings
When we get everything we prayed for, we have the tendency to forget God.
When you are blessed, will you still be intense in your focus on God? Can you still remain faithful?
When you’re comfortable and you have everything you need; when you think you’ve arrived, and the dream has been fulfilled, will you still have a need for God?
That is the test of blessing.
God tests you by blessing you so he can see what you do with it and if it makes you prideful.
This is the test that many great men fail and lose all that they have.
Can you still remain faithful when you get everything you asked for?
7. The Test of Faith
How big is your faith in God? How confident are you in your god? Have you been called or not?
If you’ve truly been called, then you must take the step of faith.
Some people get stuck where they currently are. They get stuck in their calling, mission, or ministry, and they wonder how they will get to the next level. They wonder how they are going to reach the destiny that God has revealed to them.
If you want breakthroughs, you have to take a step of faith. You have to come out of the place in which you’ve grown comfortable. You have to leave familiar surroundings and take a step of faith.
Faith doesn’t always make sense at the moment, but it does if you trust and obey.
If you want breakthroughs, you have to take a step of faith.
Tests are crucial for our spiritual growth. There is not one person who has been called by God who doesn’t get tested.
Many are called. The few that are chosen learn their lessons and pass their tests.
Tests show us whether we are ready for the next level or if we must go back and relearn certain things.
Some people get stuck in cycles because they’re not learning the lessons that will help them pass the test. When you fail a test, you have to take it over and over again until you pass.
You must pass these tests before anything happens.
The surest way to slow down this testing process is to try to rush it. But the quickest way is to trust the process and have faith, even if it’s as little as a mustard seed.
