Summary

A spiritual awakening profoundly transforms an individual's inner self, life circumstances, and worldview.

Abstract

Spiritual awakening catalyzes a comprehensive personal metamorphosis. Internally, individuals experience a shift in priorities and perspectives, becoming more humble, compassionate, and truthful. Their life story is rewritten as they let go of the past and embrace the present, leading to a life that is freer and more aligned with their newfound values. This transformation also extends to their perception, allowing them to see the deeper meaning behind events and fostering a positive outlook even in challenging times. As a result, they engage with the world from a place of wisdom and growth, often becoming a source of guidance for others.

3 Things That Will Change After Your Spiritual Awakening

You will be the first

1. You

There are many things that will change after your spiritual awakening, and you will be the first to change. One day, you will wake up to find that you are not who you used to be. You will change from the inside out. Weak foundations collapse to the ground and anything else that is weak falls apart completely.

Many other things will fall apart as you awaken and as you grow and evolve, you will no longer sweat the small stuff. You won’t sweat it because you intuitively know the small stuff makes up the chapters of your life’s story. You need the small stuff to keep happening. Every one of those small things needs to happen for there to be a great story. There is no great story without ups and down and you will see it clearly. You will see that the good and the bad are all helping you grow.

You’ll gain a greater awareness of the universe and so you’ll stop taking everything so seriously. You’ll understand why certain things happen the way they do. Even when unfortunate things happen, you can feel that it’s needed to take place because there’s something to learn from it. Knowing this, you stop judging yourself and others and you see that everyone is here to learn.

On a truly dedicated spiritual path, wisdom will be gained, but despite all the wisdom you accumulate, you become the most humble person. The strive to be somebody falls off. You will want to be nobody. When pride comes, then humiliation comes, but with humility comes even more wisdom.

With wisdom, you can make the person above you feel good and the person below you feel great and as you keep doing this, your heart grows bigger within your chest and you’re able to hold more love and have more to give.

Then you become kinder and even more compassionate. Your level of empathy becomes even more admirable. You’ll understand that most people aren’t always jolly and you won’t force them to be. You’ll create space for people to come as they are and be themselves around you. You’re able to put yourself in the shoes of others and feel what they’re feeling. You’ll try to understand what others are going through and you’ll want to do all you can to help. Your big heart is seen in your desire to help people and also animals.

Your big heart makes you sincere with your emotions, and that makes everybody around you feel safe and comfortable because they know they won’t be lied to or fooled. And you tell the truth at all times. You are called to always tell the truth and so you don’t like making things up or pretending to know or be something you don’t know or are not. You avoid making promises, but you keep the promises you make. You keep your promises because you hate letting people down.

Your big heart is also seen in your ability to forgive those who have hurt you. You don’t allow yourself to be overcome by hatred. You feel what you feel, but you’re quick to let it go once you’re done processing it. You forgive so you can forget.

You’re quick to let things go and you don’t like to bring up the past. And the future? You don’t worry about it too much because you’ve seen that the future always takes care of itself. You only focus on the present moment while doing your best to achieve your goals.

On the spiritual awakening journey, you become very disciplined. The spiritually wisest people know that discipline is crucial. You train yourself to be disciplined and you strive to do your best in every situation. You gain an intense focus and concentration on the things that drive you and you stay away from those that distract you. As you are disciplined, your mindset gradually changes.

You start to cultivate a growth mindset which becomes your most important asset. With a growth mindset, you believe everything is possible and there’s nothing you can’t do. When you encounter challenges, you’re not discouraged. You don’t start having thoughts about giving up. You hold on to your faith and remain hopeful. And then you do your part whenever you are called to.

You change a lot on your spiritual awakening journey, and as you change, your life changes too.

2. Your Life

When you change as a person, it’s only natural that your life changes too. A true spiritual awakening must change every aspect of your life. Where life was once heavy and burdensome, it becomes so much lighter and freer. You will want to hold on to nothing.

You’ll leave your old life and your old ways behind. You will want to have nothing to do with it. You’ll dissociate from your old self and life and merge with your new self that is being reborn.

A spiritual awakening can make your life easier when you release control, yet you won’t allow anything to control you.

You’ll see that you’re not always in control and so you don’t feel the need to control anything. You don’t care about the past story or even feel the need to know the future. You embody the present moments when you are occupied with its many gifts.

You become openhearted and open-minded to a world of endless opportunities simply because you are present. You can clearly see that the past is gone, the future is out of sight, and the only thing you have is the present moment. You become grounded in the present moment. It is the only place you’ll find peace, joy, and fulfillment.

When you resist the present moment and look to the past or into the future, you create resistance. You resist the natural order of things. You resist what is and in a power struggle with the universe; the universe wins.

You become aware when you’re in the here and now.

Before waking up, you may have sought out souls who boosted your ego, but after awakening, you seek out souls who strengthen your soul. You pay close attention to the people in your life and you are able to discern those who resonate with your soul and those who drain it, and you act accordingly. You become selective of the people you keep in your life. You get to choose.

You stop fearing the growth process. You understand that a seed grows in total darkness. You know that the caterpillar in the cocoon is going through profound changes, even though you can’t see it. You understand transformations are taking place even when the moon is dark. And you trust the process.

The more you understand these things about life and step into your power, the easier life gets.

This doesn’t mean that you have no challenges at all in your life. You will still have many troubles, but the righteous are delivered from them all. This knowing allows you to live your life boldly with fear.

3. Your Perception

Once you change and your life follows suit, you see yourself look at things differently from a new perceptive and you see that you’re perceiving things in a new light.

You see everything from a bird’s-eye view. You look at things beyond what you can physically see. You see behind the scenes and search for the deeper meaning behind everything.

You look at life from a positive perspective, even in bad situations, and because of that, the things you see and perceive are totally different.

When you’re facing difficult times, you allow yourself to be steadfast and not drift into hopelessness and despair. You know that the sun always returns even after the darkest night and when the storm comes, sometimes it leaves a rainbow.

Once your perception starts to change, your way of observation becomes keen. You observe everything. You take notice of your mind and how it thinks. You take control over the mind and you dictate what thoughts leave and which one’s stay.

You talk less and listen more as you become more and more self-aware.

You see and understand the universe in a much different way and because of that, people far and near come to you for counsel. You’re able to offer insights and a change in perspective.

When you and your perception change, you approach things differently. You detach. You see how attachment has been the root cause of suffering and so you release all attachments to the world. Once your perception changes, the need to cling to things lessens.

A true spiritual awakening will change you. It will change your life and open your eyes to reality so vast and so beautiful; you’ll thank God and the universe every day for waking you up on the right side.
