3 Simple Rules to Succeed at Almost Anything
Success comes in many forms, sometimes failure in itself is actually a success. The fact that you actually put the time and effort into getting started and gave it your best shot is reason enough for a celebration.
Congratulations, the fact that you actually took action makes you 100% more successful than the 99% who never even bothered to try in the first place.
Failure can be scary, especially when it could be a “public failure” or take a toll physically, emotionally, or financially, but whatever you’re shooting for, if you genuinely believe in it, you’ve got to ask yourself:
Would failing actually be all that bad?
and
What would happen if I actually succeeded?
Rule #1: Start with the End Goal in Mind
Whether you’re starting a business, learning to play chess, or just trying to start waking up earlier, it’s important to know WHY you are setting that goal and what’s the definition of success?
Once you’ve identified why you’re doing it and what success will look like, you have a clear reason and a definitive finish line to keep you on track.
Rule #2: Don’t Give Up For at Least 90 Days
All good things take time and almost nothing happens overnight.
One of my favorite examples when starting something knew is:
I didn’t quit college half way through the first semester of Freshman year just because I hadn’t earned the degree yet
Rule #3: Just Get Started!
“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” — Wayne Gretzky
or Michael Scott 😂
I can 100% guarantee that you WILL fail if you never bother to get started.
Now get up, and GO 💪
