A true master appears when you are ready to imbibe his/her teachings.

I never thought I’d get any direct guidance from an enlightened master.

For decades, I roamed with tears in my eyes and thirst in my heart, desperate to know the secrets of life. I learned bits and pieces from books, talks, and videos of masters. There were no shortcuts on my journey.

Yet here I’m talking about conscious, heartful living and getting close to the highest self. It was because my master catalyzed my transformation.

But what exactly did I do to find someone who would shift my life tremendously and make it blissful?

In short, I could do nothing.

It was never in my hands. But I learned a few things by which you can attract a genuine spiritual teacher.

You attract what you deeply are from within.

When I was a beginner, all I knew was meditation. From schooltime, I’d close my eyes and easily slip into meditation. I needed no training.

But slowly, I strived for more and was attracted to books on meditation. They led to the word of spirituality.

I never knew I was attracting things based on my deep interests.

From childhood, I had a profound inclination to heal the world. I’d cry at fights and wonder if I could bring peace and improve this Earth.

When my body fell ill, life led me to become a Reiki grandmaster and angel healer. I learned past life regression therapy and tarot reading.

However, the thirst for truth never ended. And when it peaked, I could see how life conspired to arrange my meeting with my enlightened master.

Many people blame fake spiritual guides for their misdirection.

But let me ask you a question.

Did they force or hypnotize you to do things?

Were you in the desiring state when you attracted specific individuals to be your teachers?

You can explain and convince others. It doesn't matter. What matters is how authentic you are with you.

Nobody can save you if you try to hide and sugarcoat things for yourself. Because then you serve your ego, not your true self.

The universe knows what you secretly desire and what you indeed are. It does not listen to your language or fake loop of words. But it responds to the deepest faint voice of your heart.

You may lie to yourself, but you can not fake it in front of the universe. And you are given what you exactly are and what you need to grow further.

So, if you really want a genuine spiritual teacher, search for what you truly desire. Don’t blame fake gurus who usurp your money. Instead, change your inside to attract a true guru who can liberate you.

Open your heart to get in tune with love and devotion.

A true spiritual journey is not some magic or mysterious art of superpower. It is to become extraordinarily ordinary.

There is nothing special about being spiritual. In fact, if you use the tag to brag and make yourself superior, you still have to learn to be humble.

Because that is what true spirituality is all about — being nothing, being no one.

If you really want a genuine guru, open your heart to others. Each one surrounding you is your guru.

Every life (human, animal, or plant) teaches us some lessons. If you dismiss them, you miss the point.

Open your heart. Look around to imbibe the essence of pure life. Be in nature to experience the magic.

Because when a true guru knocks at your heart, you should be ready to recognize them. You should readily open the doors.

But it can not happen when you are still closed by beliefs and conditioning about life.

Make your life a bit sensitive. Because then you know who is best for you and who is not.

The heart is a delicate instrument.

Listening to your heart and appreciating its wisdom leads you to extraordinary places and people. Recognize its superpower.

No doubt it is painful initially. But it becomes blissful when you live in your true authenticity. And through that genuineness, a true guru appears in your life.

When your heart is full of love and devotion, it's easy to surrender your worries and move forward to your highest potential.

Trust your intuition

Intuition is a superpower given to all. It all depends on how much you feed it.

In my journey, I came to a point where I had to choose either my mentor’s word or my heart.

I tried much to follow his words. But it only made me more miserable. When my mentor saw this, he told me to follow what I wanted but bear its consequences.

The fear of pain could not stop me from following my intuition. It gave me the courage to move forward and embrace my heart.

I knew what was ahead of me. I was fully aware of the hurt and suffering it may bring. But I could not bear remaining inauthentic to my precious heart.

And when the tough time came, it crash-landed on me.

I wept and writhed in pain for months.

But somewhere, I knew it was my choice, and I had to undergo it. Somewhere, I also knew it was a blessing and a gift.

And I was right.

My intuition was perfect when I disobeyed my mentor’s word and jumped into my own suffering.

How?

Because that challenging time led me to my spiritual awakening.

Pay attention to your intuition and gut feeling. It knows what is right for you.

You may not be able to see the results outright. But it will lead you to the most outstanding results you might not have ever imagined.

Sincerity towards your gut feeling is necessary. But it can’t be built overnight. Also, it is not easy to follow your intuition every time.

However, you can always take small steps towards it. And if you remain consistent, it’ll lead to your extraordinary path.

You are your own guru. But almost everyone needs external help to reach the profound depths.

Don’t get fazed by the fake gurus out there. Reason. You can only attract what you are. The sea of fakeness can not affect your progress as long as you remain authentic to your highest purpose.

Listen to the heart. Grow deep in your stillness. It’ll automatically lead to your guru. In India, a popular saying states, “When a disciple is ready, a guru emerges.”

So don’t roam and shop for gurus online.

Work on yourself. Prepare yourself to receive the teachings. Empty your mind, and break your patterns to imbibe their teachings truly. The universe will take you to the mentors, matching your sincerity.
