How Strong Trust in the Universe Helps You to Live a Remarkable Life

For many, life is suffering. Yet, for many, life is a blessing.

The difference lies in your trust.

Do you trust that life will bring great things at the right time? Or do you struggle to make things right as you deem fit?

Desires and expectations are typical for every human. But when these desires interfere in your daily life, it creates turmoil. The lack makes you desperate.

The mind may think, “Earning six figures will make my life easy. Marrying this person will make me happy. Regular vacations will pump energy into my drained life. I need shopping to be happy. And so on…”

Yes, not all desires get fulfilled. But even when your desires were fulfilled, did your happiness last long? Are you happy right now? Or are you planning and working for your next desire?

The cycle never satisfies you. As soon as you get what you want, you make a plan for the next. And when your desires are not met, you suffer. You spiral down into a series of questions and despair.

Life seems complex and challenging. But when you trust the universe, everything becomes fantastic. Loosening the tight grip on life is the best gift you can give to yourself.

Life Is Unpredictable, With So Many Variables Working Simultaneously

Even a small event happening in your life has many variables attached to it.

Suppose you have to reach the conference hall at 9:00 am. You wake up to the alarm at 7:00 am. Freshen up yourself and take a regular bath with warm water. Do your yoga and have breakfast before getting dressed in a neat, tidy dress for the meeting. Book a cab. Bypass all the traffic and reach the venue on time.

If just one thing in the routine gets disturbed, your whole planning or day can go haywire.

What if the alarm clock didn’t wake you up? What if you found your clothes were wrinkled or dirty? You could not have gotten a cab on time, gotten stuck in traffic, or even had an accident.

Life is always treading on a thin thread.

Yet we worry about the smallest detail. We think we should control things, people, situations, and our whole life.

But do we really have control?

On looking closely, you’ll find that you don’t have control.

Some people can’t function without planning their whole day. One small thing has the power to ruin your entire day.

But it doesn’t have to happen like that.

One rough interaction, disagreement, or bad hair day does not decide how you enjoy your life. Your whole day is still worth living with a smile. Eckhart Tolle has rightly said,

“Worry pretends to be necessary but serves no useful purpose.”

Losing Control Over My Life Was a Blessing In Disguise

I was a type-A personality during my early life. Being a perfectionist, a slight disturbance in my routine would irritate me.

But slowly, life turned out to be more challenging than regular routines.

It took me five years of sheer hard work to enter the college of my dreams. My best friend died on a college trip. Even after a strong rebellion at home, I could not get married to the love of my life. He died shortly after getting married to someone.

Of course, all the events have spanned over a decade. I was strong. But I went weak too. I needed guidance and support, but all I could find was loneliness.

I was angry, sad, lonely, scared, and frustrated.

These situations made me think about how little I have to play in cruise controlling my life. I can’t decide anything.

Being on a spiritual path helped me go in silence to find answers and peace. It helped me to understand life is way more intelligent than we can ever be.

Without struggle, you can not open your mind to the possibility of miraculous life. Without getting slapped by life, we can not awaken. As the spiritual teacher, Eckhart Tolle says,

“Some changes look negative on the surface but, you will soon realize that space is being created in your life for something new to emerge.”

Be Ready to Lose Your Grip On Life

Life should not be a walk-on tight rope. And life does not demand it either.

Our mind feeds us the illusion of being in control. You race through life to satisfy your wishes and be happy somewhere in the future.

Sadly, it never happens!

Nothing will ever be perfect for the mind. Nothing can ever satisfy human greed.

Loosen your grip.

It is not ‘you’ who are holding your life together. It is just happening on its own.

Your job is NOT to control life and its event. But to enjoy its every gift, unwrapping each moment.

It can be small talk with a neighbor, a smiling child, rain pouring down, or even a fight at the office or home.

Instead of desperately trying to control the steering wheel of life, hop into the passenger seat and enjoy the view.

The universe is blessing you each moment. But we are so engrossed in looking out for big magic, we forget that even taking a single breath is a miracle.

Magic Happens When You Totally Trust and Surrender To Life

Life is a beautiful happening. But in our fear, we close our hearts to life. We foolishly think that we will enjoy and truly live on the weekends, on the next vacation, etc.

We expect to find happiness in the future, which, sadly, never comes.

The ‘now’ you are living is a ‘future’ that you fantasized about in the ‘past.’

The moments in this ‘now’ is full of magic. A closed heart can never see the fascinating life blooming all around.

How often have you stopped to admire a tree? Can you appreciate the colors of butterflies or the wind that runs through your face? Isn’t it all enchanting?

The universe takes care of everything. Be it an insect, tree, or human. You don’t have to force anything to happen.

Trust that whatever life brings will be just right for you at the moment.

With complete trust, the blame game ends. You recognize no boss, partner, or child is inflicting wounds. You stop banging your head constantly.

Instead, you relax and allow the universe to serve you.

When you rest in the vast knowledge of the universe, complaining stops. It doesn’t mean you won’t fall. But like a child, you get up every time to enjoy the ride of the waves of life.

Takeaways

Trust the universe. Nothing is a waste of time and energy. If you are undergoing a challenging situation, recognize the learnings.

Look around and be grateful. Of course, there are many things you don’t have that you desired. But there are infinite things that are serving you right now.

Life is magical, and it gets revealed to those who trust it.

Don’t seek. Don’t search, don’t ask, don’t knock, don’t demand ~ Relax. If you relax, it comes if you relax, it is there. If you relax, you start vibrating with it. — Osho
