Summary

The website article discusses three signs that indicate a person is being spiritually tested, including having to let go of something loved, enduring a brutal waiting season, and experiencing times when everything seems to be falling apart.

Abstract

The article outlines three spiritual tests that a person might encounter on their spiritual journey. The first test involves letting go of attachments to material things or relationships, as these can become distractions from one's purpose. The second test is learning to wait patiently for the things that one deeply desires, which can build character and strengthen one's faith. The third test involves facing moments when everything seems to be falling apart, which can challenge one's faith and lead to personal growth. The author suggests that these tests are not meant to be easy but are necessary for spiritual development.

3 Difficult Signs You Are Being Spiritually Tested

1. Having to Let Go of Something You Love

We all love and hold onto things. Things we think we really need. But if you say or think that you can’t live without something, you’ll face a spiritual test that will teach you how to live without that thing. You only say these things if you’re too attached, and being too attached causes pain.

Wherever there is an attachment, there is suffering.

If you think you can’t live without someone, the universe will prove to you that you can when you have to you learn to be without them.

As someone who is awake and aware, you can’t get too attached to anything of this world. If you get attached to a person, place, or thing, you’re holding onto things that can be taken away.

And not only that. If you get too attached to something, it becomes a distraction from your purpose. The universe tests if you’re ready to let go of things that might distract you from your purpose.

When you get attached to things in the world, you’re holding onto things that weigh you down.

When you can let go of things that don’t serve you, you’re free to go as high or as far as you want.

2. Going Through a Brutal Waiting Season

Rest assured that if you’re having a spiritual awakening or feel called to a higher purpose, you’ll likely be tested on your ability to wait patiently.

Waiting and delays can feel like torture, especially when you’re used to everything happening quickly.

Many of the spiritual tests we face involve waiting for the things we deeply desire. Through waiting, we learn that life isn’t always smooth sailing. Waiting teaches us patience and prepares us for the ups and downs, twists and turns that life brings.

By testing your patience, the universe aims to see if you’re willing to wait for what you want, or if you’ll give up because things aren’t unfolding as expected.

God doesn’t make you wait to punish you but to help you appreciate things when they finally arrive. If you got what you wanted easily, you may take it for granted and lose it just as easily as you got it.

Not only that, waiting builds your character.

So don’t let impatience lead you to walk away from the door that could open at any time.

If you can learn to just be without constantly doing, waiting becomes easier.

Be patient and wait.

The universe will reward you with everything you’ve been waiting for if you can push past your thoughts and emotions, and keep moving forward with patience.

Good things come to those who wait, and the longer the wait, the greater the reward.

3. When Things Are Falling Apart

If you’ve been on a spiritual journey, you’ve probably experienced times when everything seems to fall apart. The real test is holding onto your faith when everything around you is crumbling.

It’s tough to keep believing when everything is falling apart, but this test of faith has a purpose. Your connection with God grows through faith.

When things get tough, your faith is put to the test. When your faith is tested, your relationship with God is tested, and then your whole life is tested.

The universe wants to see how well you can keep your faith when things are falling apart. It’s checking to see how you handle unexpected situations because that's what life is full of. The unexpected can't always rile you up so you are trained for it.

If everything seems like it is falling apart, you may be getting tested on how well you can adapt to sudden changes. It’s seeing if you can stay calm or if you’ll give up and go back to old habits.

These tests are pruning you to help you grow stronger. God looks into your heart to find the weaker parts. He finds what’s broken and removes it, sometimes in a painful way.

Anything built on a weak foundation needs to fall apart so it can be rebuilt on stronger ground. Pruning takes faith that what is lost will be replaced with something better.

Despite how it feels, these tough times are meant to teach you, help you grow, and guide you to where you need to be.

On the spiritual awakening journey, we will be tested to see if we are ready for the next level. We will have to learn to let go of the things we love and hold on to, endure brutal periods of waiting, and face moments when everything seems to fall apart.

Letting go can be painful, but it teaches us that true freedom comes from releasing our attachments. It shows us that by loosening our grip, we can rise above the suffering that comes with attachment.

Waiting, although difficult, prepares us for life’s unpredictability. Not everything happens instantly and delays can be opportunities for growth. Delays could also be the universe saving you from an even worse fate. Learning to be patient keeps us safe, helps us appreciate the right timing, and strengthens our character.

And when things are falling apart, it’s a test of our faith. It challenges us to hold on to our beliefs even in the midst of chaos, knowing that these tests and trials can lead to growth and a deeper understanding of ourselves.
