3 Crushing Signs You May Be Walking Down The Right Path

God is still working in mysterious ways

1. No One is Coming to Save You

I waited and waited, but nobody came. It was the scariest day of my life when I realized nobody was coming to save me. But that was the day I snapped out of wishful thinking and got it together. No one was coming to save me. It was up to me to save myself.

Before that, I had my hope in God and the universe and the people around me, but people disappointed me and the universe is so mysterious I couldn’t understand its ways. And God? God didn’t just want someone to come and save me. God wanted me to learn to save myself.

For the work that I was being prepared to do, I had to know the darkness so I could help others through it. I had to walk in the wilderness so I could show others the way out.

I had to learn to save myself before I could save anyone else.

God didn’t just want someone to come and save me. God wanted me to learn to save myself so I could save others.

2. You Feel Completely Lost

I felt completely lost. I wasn’t sure whether to turn left or right. I didn’t know where I was going and when I’d get there. I was well aware no one was coming to save me and I needed to find my way.

It was uncomfortable.

But now I can look back on those times and realize that I had to be lost to find myself. I really had to be. I had to be lost to ask all those important life questions like, “Who am I and what am I even doing here?”

If I wasn’t lost, I would be too comfortable to ask such questions.

The moment I started asking those questions was the moment I started finding out who I really was, what I was here to do, and where I was headed.

Now I see clearly that being lost was part of the plan. When you’re lost, you look closely at everything and you begin to see things you couldn’t see before. You start to see things a little differently. If I hadn’t gotten lost, I wouldn’t have found the path that led to God.

I’ve learned that being lost isn’t synonymous with being a failure or being behind. When you’re lost, it’s an opportunity to pave the way for yourself.

And when you pave the way, others walk in it.

Now I see clearly that being lost was part of the plan. I had to be lost to find myself.

3. You Feel All Alone

I was finding myself, but it still didn’t change the fact that I was lonely. I felt like I was the only one in the world. Life was very hard. It still is. Feeling alone when you want connection is not easy. It’s tough.

I was all alone, and no one was coming to save me. It was just me. I was forced into hermit mode because I was searching for something outside of myself.

I needed wisdom and understanding.

Little did I know that being all alone was part of the grand plan. When there’s no one to help you, you learn how to do things on your own and for yourself. I needed to learn that.

I had to learn all these things when I was alone. I developed my sense of self and I did that while I was in solitude. I doubt I would have successfully done that surrounded by people.

Being alone helped me figure out who I was and what I wanted to do with my life without pressure and distractions from others.

I still needed a friend, but I first needed a friend in me. Then I needed a friend in God. Nobody needs God until they find themselves all alone. I didn’t need God until I was in need. I made friends with God and suddenly I was no longer alone.

Now that I know these things, I don’t have to walk alone the path anymore. I was sent the right people to walk with me.

I was equipped for my mission by having to pass through the darkness alone in the wilderness. In the wilderness, I was trained. Every battle, every obstacle, and every challenge was to make me stronger and wiser and prepare me for my life’s work.

I needed to learn to do all those things for myself before I could do it for anyone else.

Your situation may be crushing, but when you start to think about these things, you see that God really does work in mysterious ways.
