1. A Spiritual Awakening is a Dangerous Thing
We live in a society that fears anything with the word spirit in it. We’re raised to believe Spirit is fearful and because of this, some people won’t even acknowledge the existence of their own spirit.
We fear anything we can’t see to understand.
You see, a spiritual awakening is a very challenging process. It’s one of the blissful yet difficult things you’ll ever experience. It stretches you so thin you grow out of your old skin.
When somebody on the outside sees this intense transformation happening in a person, they immediately assume that a spiritual awakening is a dangerous thing because the person is being stretched. This is common, especially in the dark night of the soul when a person can get severely depressed. But they’re on the outside and they can’t understand.
An awakening isn’t something that happens to you, your soul triggers it. Unless you believe your soul is dangerous, then this is a false belief.
It’s a myth we need to bust.
Spiritual awakenings are not dangerous.
An awakening moulds you into the best version of yourself. It helps you evolve. Your soul knows what it’s doing, so turn your face away from any fear-based information you read about spiritual awakenings.
Society does not embrace spiritual awakenings, and this is the reason you shouldn’t even let the world know that you’re going through a spiritual awakening because there will always be someone who warns you to be careful.
Do not listen to them. They’re stuck in a fear-based mindset and you’re growing out of that. You have to know it in your soul why you had to wake up. You have to know it and trust your soul.
If you wake up, it’s because you’re prepared to begin this journey. You are ready and there are no dangers involved but the ones outside of yourself.
Yes. Spiritual awakenings can be incredibly difficult, but difficult isn't synonymous with dangerous.
You will go through plenty of difficulties on your awakening journey, especially if you have a lot of childhood trauma that is weighing down on your spirit. There’s no way around that.
The moment you wake up, the things that have been hiding in the darkness will come up one by one so you heal them once and for all.
All of that difficulty makes you stronger and much more powerful than you will ever be.

2. A Spiritual Awakening is a Quick Process
No. Spiritual awakenings are not a quick process. It can last a lifetime.
The only reason we want awakening to go by fast is that we live in a society where ‘we want it and we get it.’ We’re used to things coming to us fast, but a spiritual awakening isn’t a physical thing. It does not happen on our time.
The idea that awakening is supposed to happen fast so you can become an enlightened being living on a cloud is a myth that can leave you very frustrated. It can make you frustrated when the universe forces you into a void that can last for several years.
Unless you let go of the belief that your awakening is supposed to go by quickly, you will hold yourself back from truly being present and learning from the process.
Your soul knows what pace it wants your awakening to happen and you have to learn to trust that.
I know it’s difficult trusting the universe when you’re just so over the pain and the dark nights, but trust will help you get through it with flow and ease.

3. You Can Stop A Spiritual Awakening
Once you awaken, you can never go back to who you used to be. Your awakening can be delayed but it can never be stopped because you can’t “unsee, unknow, unfeel, and unhear” the things you’ve already seen, the things you now know, the things you feel deep inside your bones and the things you’ve heard.
You can never go back.
The reason a person would want to go back is that they had the idea that a spiritual awakening is all sunshine and rainbows and it leaves them very disappointed when what they’re getting is just dark nights and stormy days.
It’s human nature to assume that life will be all bliss the moment you wake up and when that doesn’t happen, we really freak out and then we feel like we want it to stop.
You cannot stop a spiritual awakening once it has started. You cannot undo a spiritual awakening. The undo button disappears, never to reappear.
You can only go forward.
You can’t go back because you are the one that triggered the awakening in the first place. You are the one that called out for a change, so once change arrives, you cannot go back to who you used to be.
You must go through the changes and the transformation because you need the change and the transformation.
Your soul saw the despair you were in and woke you up so you can see beyond the illusion.
The soul is much more powerful and much wiser so there’s no point in even trying to stop your awakening.
Your awakening started because you were ready for it. It’s something you agreed to go through before you even arrived here.
You need the experience to evolve.
When you keep trying to stop it and you keep resisting the awakening process, you are going to delay the process and block yourself from expanding and ascending.
So when it feels like you just can’t do it anymore, it’s okay.
You’re okay.
There’s nothing wrong with taking a break when the changes in and around you start to be overwhelming. A break is always rejuvenating, and when you’re better, you’ll itch to get back to awakening.
