Micro income streams are smart way to make more money in small, actionable ways. These tiny income streams can grow over time and have a pretty sizeable impact to your bank account.

11+ Micro Income Streams to Make More Money in 2024
These are for different skill levels and require different resources. Keep an open mind. These are not for everyone.
1. Record audio courses
This is an audio course you’ll teach on a topic like manifestation, mindset work, productivity, etc.
Choose a topic you’re an expert in or have a passion about and teach it in an audio course.
Examples:
- Gardening
- Watercolor painting
- Marketing
- B2C Copywriting
Avid.FM is a platform you can look into for this. When I chatted with them several months back, they shared that some creators were making up to $20K/month through them!
2. Website flipping
I flipped two websites last week! They each took just hours to create and were super simple to build.
I made about $400 total from the two sites.
If they took 4 hours to build, that’s $100/hour!
I’ve made over six figures flipping websites. It’s fruitful, fun, rewarding, and a solopreneur-based, introvert-friendly side hustle that just about anybody can do.

3. Write ebooks
Choose a topic, outline and draft your book in Google Docs or MS Word then, proofread and edit, add design and a book cover with Canva.
And, publish on a platform like Gumroad!
I have made over $20K doing this!
4. Create a Substack newsletter
Newsletters have been so hot in 2023. I think they’ll continue to grow even more in 2024.
One of my favorite newsletter creators grew her newsletter to over 25,000 subscribers in a year! Amazing!
These can be so lucrative, incredibly low-cost and pretty easy to run. Substack is a great platform to be on for this.

5. eBay Arbitrage
I talked about this in my $1,000 to Christmas series. This can be a fun and lucrative income stream to keep in play year-round.
Source products at a low price. Resell them on eBay at an upcharge and keep the difference as your profit.
For example, source a $25 designer scarf on sale and resell for $70 on eBay.

6. Domain flipping
Easier than website flipping I hear but, honestly, I have never tried it. It’s about investing in domains that you can snag at the right time.
These can be expired domains or brand new domains that are likely to gain popularity in the near future, like the craze around .club domains when Clubhouse was hot and the .ai domains.
7. Medium writing
Join Medium for free and become a writer. Write about virtually any topic you want and make money from your writing through:
- The Medium Partner Program
- Affiliate commissions
- Selling products and services
- And, other ways
My new Medium account is already at over 400 followers with under 100 Medium stories and it’s monetized in a few different ways.
8. Invest in rental properties
This is a great one if you want a low-effort, hands-off income stream. You can invest as little as $100 into rental properties with Arrived Homes.
It’s a solid way to diversify your investments.

9. Dropservicing
This will be like running a mini business. You’ll connect buyers and sellers, acting as a middleman to bridge the two groups together.
For example, you can sell freelance writing services, find buyers who need freelance writing and then when you sell the service, outsource it to a freelance writer.
- Sell a freelance writing package for $1,000
- Outsource it to a freelance writer for $600
- Keep $400 difference as profit
10. Freelancing
Take on freelance clients here and there on the side.
This can be for any service that you’re an expert in, like writing, graphic design, proofreading, editing, web development, etc.
11. Medical Studies (Clinical Trials)
I had a former coworker who did this. She’d make at least $1,000 for about 3–4 days of her time, sometimes longer.
You sign up to be in a medical study. Participate. And, get paid.
Some studies are outpatient, others are inpatient, others are weekends only, etc.
Check opportunities in your city to see what’s available.
In Houston where I live, this company connects you with paid clinical trials paying $1,000 to $6,000.
This is pretty good money for your time but, you’re sacrificing your time and health, which may or may not make it worth it to you.
12. Transcription
There are transcription companies that pay you per assignment. You can do the work on your own time and design your dream schedule, making $25/hour.
Transcription is about listening to audio files and typing what you hear. You should have a quiet environment to work in and be well-organized and patient. Rev and TranscribeMe are examples.
13. Faceless Social Media Accounts
This can be faceless TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, etc. Create a themed account, monetize it and make money. You can also build and sell these accounts on sites like Fameswap.
