Moments later, you hear, “ye can come out now — he’s gone.”

You sheepishly emerge from the closet.

“Name’s Brunt,” the dwarf says as he turns back to the cauldron. “Me family’s watched this tower for generations, father tae son. This place holds dangerous secrets… and treasures. If yer here to steal the treasure…”

He whips around and fixes you with a piercing glare, gripping a sharp, curved knife. “I cannae allow that. What I’m askin’ is, who might ye be and what’s your business here?”

Suddenly, he advances and points the blade at your chest.

“Choose yer next words carefully.”
