Forgotten to Gold: Unclaimed Fortnite Ultra-Rare Skin

Source: Reddit

Even though it has found some fresh popularity with the latest changes (Season OG, Chapter 5, LEGO Fortnite), I am not a Fortnite player. I am not a shooter games player. I have played only for a while some CSGO and Apex Legends. That is all!

But while scrolling on Reddit, I found this and thought it would be cool to share.

It is 2017. Fortnite was released in July. You didn’t hear about this game until the 2018 final when you decided to buy the game. But you don’t install it. You throw it somewhere, in the back of your bed or wardrobe. At least you are in the ‘trend,’ and you are okay with that.

After some years, the final of 2023, to be more precise, you find it, and you remember you bought it together with a new controller five years ago, so you have a question.

Best place to ask it — Reddit!

“So, I bought a controller years ago and just found this, is it that rare? I’ve 0 Fortnite experience”

You get overwhelmed by the notifications from Reddit, all the replies, upvotes, and shares.

It’s like you have provoked a tornado; some gaming sites are talking about this now, and one random guy is writing about you on the Medium platform, thinking he becomes rich with his not-so-amazing article. But the only person who is going to be rich is you.

How so?

The Eon skin bundle, released on September 27, 2018, was a piece of a limited promotional bundle for those who bought the Xbox One S console or a controller.

The skin which has long been renowned as one of the rarest in the game, is ranked by Dexerto as the 10th rarest skin in Fortnite.

And you just found out from those over 600 replies on Reddit that the skin could be worth at least 500–1000$.

I think you should listen to that guy telling you:

“Those go for thousands. I’d sell it if you don’t play the game.”

Or keep the code unclaimed, hoping over the years, it will be worth more.

At least more than this story.

How cool is that?

We should start investing in controllers from now on, haha! You never know when you will be the protagonist of such a story.

I am glad the gaming sector is nailing again with such a saga.

What do you think?
