Summary

This web content discusses how embracing one's vulnerabilities can lead to a more authentic and fulfilling life, free from societal pressures to conform.

Abstract

The article, through a reflective poem, delves into the transformative power of vulnerability. It begins by likening the human experience of vulnerability to that of an infant, emphasizing that while our vulnerabilities evolve, they remain an intrinsic part of our lives. The poem critiques the societal obsession with perfection and the external measures of success, such as physical appearance, material possessions, and social status, which are impermanent and fuel insecurities. It suggests that the fear of showing weakness and the effort to maintain a facade of strength is ultimately detrimental to one's true self. By accepting and loving oneself, including one's vulnerabilities, individuals can break free from societal standards, foster genuine self-acceptance, and lead others by example to live authentically beyond the superficial norms.

Your Vulnerability Can Actually Free You From a False Living

A poem on transforming life through your fears and vulnerabilities.

An infant is vulnerable to the outer circumstances Not able to feed or drink by itself With an innate cry, searching for a caretaker But with age, vulnerabilities change From physical to intense emotional game

No being is perfect But still trying to portray self as appropriate ‘Compared to whom’ if I may ask Is this for the world and its imperfect creatures?

Humans have put themselves in an undeclared race Unconsciously trying to be like others in the masses

A pimple on the face or stout figure Bad hair day or freckles An exquisite dress or an expensive handbag Branded clothes, cars, or watches

Establishing a name, beautifying body, and embellishing identity

All that is impermanent but seems glittery give rise to all kinds of insecurities

Fearful to lose a position or job to lose power over employees or family Vulnerable to show your weakness when you are supposed to be strong Hiding the screams and tears when pain tears you apart

What good does showcasing your ideal self do? If still not convinced, then look at your life right now Is this the way you want to continue? Or do you want some honest living?

Vulnerability frees you It tears down the pseudo makeup wall Revealing what you are

Maybe for the world, it is a weakness or weirdness But for how long do you want to hide your true self?

Break free from their standards You are sufficient in your complete self Accept what you are, don’t hide Don’t judge yourself while wearing society’s glasses

When you accept and love yourself truly You can wholeheartedly accept others who also hide beneath beautiful custom made sheets Lead them by shining your unique light show them there is a way of living beyond the false

Love yourself, Don’t be fearful Accept your uniqueness Your power lies within Your vulnerabilities are your friend They echo your insecurities Look closely and be free from them.
