In bold defiance against the shadow, you decide to fight against it!
You launch a sharp strike at the figure, which it dodges without difficulty.
You attempt to strike several times but the shadow is too slippery to be touched.
In a shocking turn of events, the figure dissolves into a black mist and slithers underneath you.
Within seconds you hear their voice in your left ear from behind: “Your struggles are useless, my undead friend.”
The figure proceeds to lock you against its bosom by your neck.
Its grip stands unwavering even as you attempt to unlock it.
You begin using your weight to push the shadow backward hard and fast but this fails to muster change.
From just out of your periphery you see the figure’s hand raising a knife, preparing for a stab.
In the heat of desperation, you take your teeth and bite down into the shadow’s hand as hard as you’re able.
The shadow wails out in pain as black fluid leaves its fresh wound, freeing you from its grip.
You turn around and waste no time in using this moment of weakness to your advantage.
You charge into the shadow and steal the dropped knife, which you raise and begin slashing.
You’re able to puncture several areas within the shadow’s abdomen narrowly missing its neck as it moves.
The most bone chilling scream erupts from the shadow as it attempts to flee from you.
Your eyes fill with the most visceral bloodlust imaginable as you barrel toward the figure.
Before it starts to shape shift once more you tackle it, again dropping the knife in the struggle.
You have the figure pinned down both of your hands squeezing the life from the figure as it fights for survival.
It tries to gouge your eyes but its movement is too weak to harm you.
You are the hunter and this is your prey.
You only have one chance to reconsider this…
