You Don’t Need To Shower Daily

If you shower or bathe daily, then you are making a big mistake…

Nearly two-thirds of Americans shower daily, and in China, Australia, and Canada, more than 90 percent of people bath five to six times a week. The daily shower trend of the United States started when people got to know the value of hygiene and cleanliness.

Why Do People Shower Every Day?

Other than considering it healthy, people choose to shower daily for a couple of reasons.

  1. They are concerned about body odor.
  2. They have made it a morning routine.
  3. They feel fresh after showering once or twice a day.

Why You Don’t Have To Shower Daily?

Here are the main reasons why you should not shower every day.

  1. In most situations, healthy skin maintains a layer of oil and has a perfect balance of good bacteria and harmful microorganisms. When you wash or scrub your skin over and over again, the layer of the oil gets removed. Plus, the good bacteria disappear along with harmful microbes. This leads the skin to get rough and dry. Cracks are likely to appear in a large number, allowing allergens to breach the barrier your skin is supposed to provide. As a result, skin infections are likely to occur.
  2. Another noticeable thing is that the immune system needs a certain amount of environmental exposures to create antibodies. This is probably the reason why some dermatologists and pediatricians are against daily baths for children. It is said that frequent showers can decrease the ability of the immune system to perform different functions.
  3. Last but not least, the excessive or daily use of shampoos and hair conditioners lead your hair to get damaged. This can cause hair fall in men and women.

Takeaway

Excessiveness of anything is bad. Am I right? Please remember that over-cleaning the body is a serious health issue. You may lead your skin to get dry; you may have to suffer from hair fall, and you may contribute to weak immunity. Also, the use of oils, body lotions, soaps, shampoos, conditions, and other artificial products can causes problems like allergic reactions.
