Summary

Constant Content is a writing platform that allows writers to make money by selling their articles in various formats, offering flexibility in topics and rates, and providing opportunities for ghostwriting.

Abstract

Constant Content is an online platform that offers writers a lucrative way to earn money by selling their articles. Unlike Medium, which is often used by new writers to gain experience, Constant Content allows writers to set their own rates and choose from different selling options, including single use, unique use, and full rights. Writers can also engage in ghostwriting, where they write content without receiving public credit, and they have the potential to sell articles multiple times or for a high one-time fee. The platform is suitable for writers looking to diversify their income streams and offers a community for support and learning. It also provides the chance to write requested articles and to write on spec, competing with other writers for specific projects.

If you’re a new Medium writer, chances are, you’re also just starting out as an online writer, and you’re still trying to learn the ropes.

It’s no secret that Medium is a great writing platform for newbies to test their wings, and gain experience writing whatever you want.

But I’m sure you know by now, that Medium is not the only game in town, when it comes to earning money with your writing.

Many writers who have been around for a while, offer the names of other writing platforms, and tell you how you can earn money, in a similar way as on Medium.

However, the website I want to give you a few details about does not operate in the same way as Medium. That website is Constant Content, and years ago, I wrote for them, when I was just getting started online.

The following highlights about Constant Content should be enough to make you check out the site and see what it’s all about.

About Constant Content

Making money on Constant Content through article sales is one of the most lucrative ways to earn money with your writing.

Here’s the message the website provides to potential writers:

“If you’re passionate about the written word and have a proven track record in creating exceptional content, then we should talk. We’re always looking to find great content and copywriters to join our site.”

When you sign up, they will also ask that you complete a simple little quiz, and provide a basic writing sample. This is just to make sure that writers have at least the very basic writing skills that are required to write for their customers.

The process is not long or difficult, and you could find yourself being eligible to start submitting work before you know it.

Even though Constant Content will take 35% of your profit, they let you set your own rates, and give you multiple ways to earn. That 65% that you make on all your articles can start to look really appealing.

Writing on Spec

One of the really cool ways you can earn money writing online, is writing as a ghost writer. Ghost writers get paid to do the work, not take credit for it.

So even if you manage to earn a hefty check from a ghost writing project, don’t expect anyone but the client to know what a great article you write. Your name will never be attached to it.

That is why some writers don’t like the idea of ghost writing. Also, sites like Constant Content have their ghost writers write on spec.

Their “spec” writing opportunities require you to compete with other writers for the same project. In these instances, your payment is dependent on the client/customer’s acceptance of your article AFTER it is written.

But don’t worry, if ghost writing is not for you, because there is still another way you can get paid at Constant Content.

First, notice these highlights about the website:

  • This site is perfect for writers who want to alternate between ghost writing requested content, and writing about topics of their own choosing.
  • They have an active community of writers to learn from and emulate
  • They have numerous projects and chances to write “requested” articles
  • They offer the ability to write what you want, set your own price, and put your articles on sale.

Selling Articles on Constant Content

Now, lets consider the specifics, when it comes to the way you can actually sell your writing and make even more money.

All you have to do is write and submit your article. As part of the submission process, you will be prompted to set a fee for the article. You actually have 3 different options when doing this.

  • Single Use — This options lets the buyer use the content on one website. Because they only pay for a one time use, this means the content can also be sold under the same terms, to others buyers also.
  • Unique Use —When a buyer purchases an article under this designation, it means the content has never been published or used by anyone else. Paying a “unique use” fee allows the buyer to own the article exclusively, although they are not allowed to change or alter the work.
  • Full Rights — With this option, a buyer is paying a fee so they can completely own the work and this enables them to do whatever they want to do with the article.

As you can see, this provides you, the writer, with all kinds of advantages. You can put a $50 price tag on a single use article, and sell that article over and over again.

Or, if you prefer, you can sell the article for a one-time price, as high as $500 and let the buyer have the content to do as they please.

Now can you see why Constant Content is a great place to sell articles that you may have written at some point, but they never earned you any money?

Ghostwriting work in abundance!

In case any of you still aren’t sold on the idea of ghostwriting, this is an UPDATE to this article. I came back to share a story from a fellow Medium writer by the name of Sherrice Williams and to let you know about her successful ghostwriting experience.

Sherrice is new to Medium, but by no means is she new to writing, at least not after an experience like the one she shares in the story: I Earned $12,000 in 4 Months from Ghostwriting. Give it a read, and use the information for yet another great opportunity to earn some writing cash. GOOD LUCK!

Final Thoughts

Now that your new writing career is finally underway, there’s no reason to limit yourself to writing for just one website, not if you don’t want to. Read and see what Sherrice has to say. Or follow the lead of another smart writer here on Medium.

Take a lesson from Medium writer Jenn Leach and go sign up for Fiverr like she did. Since getting started on Fiverr this past August (2021), Jenn said:

“I’ve made around $300 to $400. It’s almost effortless.”

Does that sound like something worth looking into? Why not take a little time to learn more about Constant Content and what they have to offer?

Remember:

  1. You get to write whatever you want, plus set your own rates
  2. Keep in mind the three different ways you can sell your articles.

The sooner you go check the site out, and sign up, the sooner your request can be processed, and you can start writing and selling articles.

If you currently have stories that you think you may be worth trying to sell on Constant Content, why not look them over and dust them off. You have absolutely nothing to lose, and everything to gain.
