You Can Heal And You Can Drown

A Photo Essay About The Powerful Nature Of Water And The Sea

Like my mind, she is open and free. Easily moved by the storms and held back only by the ones who know how to calm her. She can’t be controlled, strong and powerful. Sometimes messy and moody. Sometimes calm and deep.

She can heal and she can drown. Taking my body with her, dissolving my tears and physical form until only my soul is left dancing to the rhythm of her movement. Light and free.

The sea hypnotises me, easily pulling me with her. Lost in her depths, I let go and find acceptance for the impermanence of all there is.

The sea cures all ailments of men.

— Plato
